I might be the only one in here with the passion to play music. I was hoping that I'm not the only in here.

Feel free to post your thoughts..

You can also post and share piano piece if you want..

There are all kinds of guitar players here. Not sure about the piano. Some of the members have recorded professionally.

I used to play the guitar. Gave it up for years, but I'm thinking about getting back into it. I still pick it up now and then, but I don't remember many songs. I'd basically be starting over.

A hard decision for you, I assume. To give up and stop the thing you love to do. Well, as a musician, that's how I feel.. Given the fact that I am passionate when it comes to my music.

No, it's not a hard decision, it's more of a timing thing. Right now I'm enjoying my business and grandkids -- but the 2-year-old loves to dance when I play the guitar.

When I go down to working just 5-10 hours a week I'll take up some of the hobbies I've been thinking about.

Well that's good news. I almost forgot the reason why I joined the Warriorforum. As for me, I still have time to compose music and play with my piano. I also still have time for my business. I have all the time that I need. And there's no reason for me to give up one just to give attention to the other.

I've played piano since I was very young - it's always been my therapy and at times some income. I'm not really passionate about it but enjoy playing both piano and keyboard for my own entertainment.

My mother was a concert pianist and she tried to teach me to play but I was
too young to take it seriously. Finally, in my early 20s, I self taught. I have
been playing now for over 30 years but mostly as a means to an ends. That
ends being a songwriter. I've written over 900 songs since 1984. I have no idea
how many I wrote before that time period.

Since then I have also learned guitar on my own.

You can hear some of my stuff on YouTube at my channel.

I've had one song published in all this time. Almost was recorded by Crystal
Gale according to my publisher. I take that with a grain of salt.

Today, I write mostly just for fun. I have a fair amount of talent but I'm
no Jim Steinman or Diane Warren.

nah.... I'm more on the "passionate-piano-playing-dude-that-girls-dig-so-much"

    LOL

Kidding aside, I'm on the more romantic, more affectionate piano piece.. like the moonlight sonata and "Kiss the Rain" by yiruma.

My band days ended many years before I actually started recording my own
songs. The featured song on my channel was done about 2 years ago.

Do you still thinking of going back to your band? I mean, a musician, or rather a band member will always be a band member, right?
