Has the Warrior Forum gotten to big?

I mean, for people, not robots and scammers.

I starting reading the forums years ago, left it, and now that I've come back it seems like most of the posts in the most frequented sections are completely newbie oriented or are people trying to push product through 'thanking' tactics.

What I mean by thanking tactics is creating multiple accounts to thank another account to build credibility. Not that I blame them, that is really no different than a lot of SEO or social networking tactics out there, but it's pretty obvious and stupid looking at the forum level.

I'm not trying to be insulting to the forum moderators or anything, this place is crazy popular now so it has to be tough keeping up with every user, but in terms of quality information it seems to have taken a step back or two.

I imagine this post won't win me any popularity contests, but I felt compelled to say it.

This forum has seen giant growth, just look at all the people online at one time. I recently joined here to see if I could learn a thing or two online for marketing my products. Any industry has to deal with multi accounts, it is just part of the game.

The forum has experienced massive growth over just the past 8 months. I think it has to do with all the WSO affiliate programs and marketers mailing their lists nonstop for WSOs.

I don't know if it's too big but I expect it to double in size of membership over the next 12 months.

By the way, they monitor your IP address when you login so they can tell if you have multiple accounts. You're only allowed 1 account here.

      That's easily worked around.

I don't know, maybe I'll ask the next person I spot doing it.

      Nice

This is the kind of response I was expecting, really. Thanks for the laugh.

    Eric,

The bigger it gets, more confusion will attract, right? There are literally dozens of new users everyday trying to "make money online" selling something in here. Then we have all the other rookies asking the same old questions, again and again... Then the usual suspects trying to push their agenda... and also the normal posters sharing knowledge everyday - and not expecting a penny.

Between this confusion you'll get valuable gems - and you can be sure of that. I mean, just this morning I posted a one liner giving away my best technique for one specific issue. I could have packaged the whole thing and sell it at 17$ a pop (which eventually I will... ) but fact is: I shared it for free among a dozen trash posts. Most probably people will miss it.. lol.

This is an awesome community and I've made great "friends" here - and hopefully will meet one of them pretty soon (Mark A.). I wouldn't trade WF for any other community, you can bet on that.

Sure it has grown, but so has the population of the world.

The WF is no different than the rest of the world, truth be told. You'll find all types of people including good, kind, helpful people and great friends here as well as in your offline life. You only need to use your common sense and your noggin in determining which is which!

People have a tendency to find what they look for. So as for me I look for the good and find the WF to be composed of some of the best the IM world has to offer and love the helpful, friendly tight knit community it provides.

I hope you can find it to be that way to.

      Much success to you,

      Terra

    Thanks Fernando & MissTerraK,

That's what I am getting at. It is very easy to miss the pearls of wisdom these days, which is really what sparked the topic to begin with. Thanks for plugging away though.

Community is an important factor, which is one of the reasons why I returned to WF, but due to the amount of transient members, it does feel a lot different.

Oh well, I don't want this to come off as a whine. It is what it is, right? I'll just have to adjust. Thanks for the responses.

Question: Where's "big" and how do you get to there?

As to what I think you meant, no, not too big.

Just too many opinions being decreed as fact.

That'll kill you every single time.
