Find the C below....do not use any cursor help.
OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

2- If you already found the C, now find the 6 below.

3 - Now find the N below. It's a little more difficult.

MMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMNMM
MMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM
MMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM
MMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM

This is NOT a joke. If you were able to pass these three tests, you can cancel your annual visit to your neurologist. Your brain is great and you're far from having a close relationship with Mr Alzheimer.

I'm only sending this to my 'old' friends.

You're right about that! I took longer than I maybe should have, but poorer eyesight DOES hurt performance on such tests. BESIDES, the test for Synesthesia is VERY similar to THIS! You think THIS is hard? ***HUH***!!!!!!! The test for Synesthesia does something like draw a 3 with 6s in a field of MANY numbers, and then asks what number appears, and you have to say 3 within a second or two.

Look at it, let your eyes go out of focus, and the odd letter or number will pop out.

Now I have to go find out what Synesthesia is. Off to Wikipedia.

That was easy. Found the C and 6 in about 5 seconds for both of them combined, the N took about 5 or 6 seconds by itself. It didn't jump out at me like the C and 6 so I just looked at which line of text was shorter and then looked only in that line.

No problem with this one. That doesn't mean I'm not going batcrap silly, though. I am out in the rock hunting fields as often as I can get out there - and my eyes are trained to the extreme for catching some really obscure stuff.

Now if I could just do something about all this drooling.

Well...as long as you're not out there, looking for the same rock -

Don't bother with all 12 steps. It's a waste of time after step one and two:

          1. Smoke a fattie
          2. 3 ounces of favorite alcohol, mixed to preference.

          That'll do it.

Doesn't apply. The only same thing about it is that you are going rock hunting - different types, different places, different wildlife to steer clear of, different depths of creeks ya gotta get across. Different heights of ledges ya gotta not fall off of. Different hardness of rocks ya got to pound apart. It's all different.

  • Well, I know it's instantly a losing proposition when you have to explain a joke...but sometimes, it's not the Rock - it's whats Inside the Rock, that is interesting...so you're looking for a rock like the last rock...to see if it has the same thing inside.

And it might have been an inside joke, but I was also thinking of a friend of mine who would occasionally throw a rock for his dog, into a pile of rocks...and the dog would go nuts trying to find THAT rock -

But, to paraphrase Freud, sometimes a rock, is just a rock...so I won't hound you about rocks any longer...

LMAO - you did bounce around a few walls on that one. Haha. If we'd been on a racquet ball court I'd have had trouble with it.

The same rock is a tad different from the same type of rock.

As far as the SAME rock - I used to do that with Munchie and Blitz. Funny, still doesn't apply to Einstein because they seemed to always manage to bring back the same rock I threw. So they did the same thing over and over again -- but it was workin' for them.

HOWEVER -- since you are able to associate all of that crap in your memory into one attempt at a joke (even if not the best one), you pass the Alzheimer's test. Congratulations.

Different parts of the brain are used to process different types of information. Neuro-cognitive tests are designed to test each of the parts based on this.

Additionally, some tests also evaluate the process used in performing the task.
