Whats up with the Thanks Button?

Its become a crap shoot recently as to whether I can thank someone or not...seems one secobnd I can and another I cant...in the offline section.

Can you only give so many thanks in one thread?

I will think Im out of thanks, then turn around a second later and I can thank again, then a minute later I cant.

    John, the Thanks button runs on a 24 hour clock. So as time marches forward you get your quota of 25 Thanks in any 24 hour period refreshed Thanks by Thanks.

    Bill, in the case John is right in that it is acting buggy. I'm having the same problem...One minute I can thank,then the button is gone,but five minutes later it is back again.

      Thanks are a bit over-rated to get, but they sure are fun to give.

        Yeah it lets someone know you have acknowledged them even if you didnt post back, in alot of cases. That helps me alot. lol

    The only problems I have with the thanks button is that sometimes when I click it, it disappears, but the thanks never appears under the post I thanked.

    Well, that and every time someone clicks the thanks button on my posts I get this thrill that goes up my leg ... no wait, that was Chris Matthews. Nevermind.
