Stop texting/drinking/speeding and driving

So about an hour ago I was leaving a church event with my mom and we saw an suv doing like 100 mph and swerving on the highway. I told my mom to slow down because I knew she was about to crash..next thing I know she slams head on into the wall, car flips over, and is hanging on by a thread almost about to go over the wall.
We pull over, I hopped out while on the phone with 911 and all the driver is saying is 'my mom is going to kill me' I don't know what that was about but I believe she thinks she killed the passenger, it's suspected that she was texting and driving.

The moral to my story is pay attention while driving! Especially if you have someone with you, don't kill someone because you can't wait to tell someone hey or you're on your way, they'll figure it out.

    Very good advice.

Our province has recently enacted a "Distracted Driver" law that prohibits doing those things while driving. And still, everywhere I go, there are people driving with a phone in hand, glued to their ear! It scares me.

Being that I ride a motorcycle, I've got issues with anything someone driving a car does that distracts them.
But I remember years ago my wife and I where driving on a busy country road. The car in front of us was two girls and you could tell they where chatting up a storm. Well we came to a bend in the road and they where so caught up in their conversation that they continued straight, off the road, through a field, and into a tree. On the one hand I found it rather funny (no one was hurt), but on the other it scares the crap out of me thinking people like that are behind the wheel when I'm on my bike.

I came less than an inch from being hit by a car traveling at at least 65 once while walking my dog back home from the river. The jerk was on his phone and passed a semi. I was on the edge of the road waiting to cross and this guy came around that truck with the peddle to the floor. I pulled Munchie and stepped back just in time to avoid being hit -- and the dumbass never even saw me. Never knew I was there. One second of difference and he would have splattered me all over hell and back and it's debatable that he'd have stopped because he'd probably never known what he hit. "just a dog" and kept going.

I feel extreme aggression when I see someone in a driver's seat with a phone in their ear. I've been known to scream some pretty rude things out the window at them. If they endanger me, I get the license plate number and report them. Sick of people running around drooling stupid being a risk to everyone else. If you want the right to be so stupid that you put everyone else near you in jeopardy, you need to be in a cage instead of running around loose at large.
