I know there are sites that list direct numbers and or businesses that don't use automated menus.
Does anyone have a list of those sites or businesses?

      Ha Ha Dave.

I have found that bill collectors use the automatic callers to call you so you can't tell them to stop calling you.

But,when you do get that call that when you answer it says hold please while we connect your call, is anyone really stupid enough to actually hold??

When I was having problems with my mortgage the bank used one of those automated callers.
The problem was when I would answer, it would disconnect

We get a lot of those calls too Thom. I figure they are just trying to verify that a real person uses the number and its not disconnected, but I could be wrong.
