I have an 8 gig Ipod touch that I won (with the help of many of you folks here) in 2010 from the kidney walk.
They have just released an OS update for it. Unfortunately it says it requires a gig of space to install and I don't have that much left.

I know I can connect it to my Itunes and have it reset to factory defaults which would give me the space I need, but I'm wondering how much of the stuff I have on it I would end up losing? And would it be worth it? I could easily do without some of the free and paid for apps and some of the songs were freebies from the free song of the week they do,so I'm thinking it wont be that bad of a loss.
Any opinions?

Rather than reset it to factory default, try deleting the apps you don't use first with iTunes.
