All of my sites are loading extremely slow since this afternoon... why?

I have been trying to load up my sites on my GoDaddy hosting and it's been taking anywhere from 5-15 minutes just to show 1 page on any of my sites. They don't time out. It always loads, but it takes forever.

Every other site I visit is quick... but any one of mine that's on this account are taking forever.

Is this a hacker/virus?

    I don't know the answer, but I wonder if it's just GoDaddy doing some server updates or something along those lines?

    I experience that on various community sites from time to time and it's usually because of server updates (or occasional server problems).

    It's pretty common with GoDaddy. I can guarantee you it happens more frequently than you think.

    I would start looking for a new web host the provides a better environment.


    EDIT: Server updates isn't the cause of this problem, it's overloaded servers.

    EDIT: Since WP is database driven, a crappy overloaded environment can slow SQL performance.
