Correct me if I am wrong but isn't it illegal for a US citizen to engage in activity in another country that is illegal in the US but legal in that other country. For example, if I go to Portugal and do drugs (even if it is legal there) it would still be illegal for me to do that behavior and I could still get arrested when I return to the US.

again, correct me if I am wrong.

(not commenting on the morality here...none of my business really what adults do with their time...just want clarification on the law)

Thing is... if you dig real deep you'll find this happens everywhere - not only in the US. Most of the time media stays away from this kind of news, that's why we don't know all the stories...

Exactly! I went to South America for 6 1/2 months in '77. (In fact Cartagena was one of our stops..)

My background is media, and you wouldn't believe how many cases we knew of just in 1 year in 1 country - let alone 5 years and 5 countries...

It would fill the media for weeks, non-stop!

But usually when something like that is known, is then used to achieve something else, like a exclusive news break, etc. People keep it shut and they get something valuable in future . not money, usually is just exclusive stories, first hand news, etc etc.

who cares what they do in their off time? The people complaining about this are the same people who would love to see Obama get snuffed out. They just like drawing invisible parallels, making it somehow seem like Obama himself was there banging hookers and doing blow. Silly..

What gets me is all of this could have been avoided if these guys just paid the ladies for their services. That one wanted $250 and they only gave her $50 so she started screaming. How stupid is that? 8/

1) "no one is going to stand up for this hooker, I can do whatever I want"
or
2) "I'm SS, I can do whatever I want"

either way too much arrogance is being expressed.
