  • We can only Imagine...

I didn't know William Hung (She Bangs) had been sent to Australia for his crimes...:p

What always interests me, and confounds me at the same time...is the conviction and sincerity of some of these cretins, to the point where you honestly have to believe you are being punked -
only to shockingly realize a few moments later...you are not!
And you don't know whether the joke is on YOU or THEM!

It is a level of confidence that can only be obtained by absolved stupidity...

Also - There is a valuable lesson to be learned here...Always Wear A Helmet!

Just when you think you've got it all figured out, someone changes the rules.

I was BORN with more talent than that, EVEN down to playing a GUITAR! At one point I was ******FAR****** better with guitar, but STILL not really talented. And was FAR better with singing, and am even today, but STILL see no point at going to an idol show. There is BOUND to be someone better.

SERIOUSLY, WHAT are guys like that thinking? YEAH, it is a guitar! YEAH, it might be said that you are playing. STILL, you are NOT playing guitar. And I figured he could sound like john, etc... but it was like he fought NOT to!

To me it says more about the motives of the producers. Why would they decide to humiliate this poor sap on a national TV "talent" show, unless they planned for a viral YouTube hit?

Steve, I think YouTube was around in 2009.

Vinh Bui auditions for 2009 Australian Idol

Even so, they didn't have to broadcast it.

The statement was that they created the show to embarass such people on youtube.

No, read it again. The statement clearly refers to the clip.

I love this woman's voice. I got to know her as a contestant for Rockstar INXS back in 2005 or 2006, I think it was.
      Anyways....
She's awesome. Unfortunately, she was recently voted off The Voice.

  • Heck - the Talent audition can be skipped all together if you got the cash...like Rebecca Black - you too can be a 'star'

Check out this talent terrorist - she created her own nightmare - no audition needed :p
(What cracks me up, is that the backup singers have to sing off key so it won't sound weird??)

A Hilariously Terrible Music Video That Will Change You Forever

Have a problem with your man staring too long at other ladies? Why not institute the "Three Second Rule," as explained in this helpful song from "artist" Lisa Gail. There are a million reasons why this song (and the Three Second Rule, for that matter) are a terrible idea, and yet somehow this video is pure magic. Well, let's clarify, it's glorious at first, and then the song destroys your life by worming its way into your brain and playing on repeat until you're ready to take a screwdriver to your eardrums to make it stop. But, on the bright side, dudes in cowboy hats line dancing?

I don't think anyone can do it better than John Lennon. For me it's one of those songs that should be left alone.

    Not too bad.

I like this one by Chet Atkins and Mark Knopfler:

      God that was awful.

A Perfect Circle did a cover of it that was awesome with a lil more "edge", but then again Maynard (Tool, APC) is a f'n genius musician anyway lol

  • I can't find a clip of anyone playing it - but the Atkins / Knopfler clip reminded me, I think I saw Bob Culbertson playing Imagine on a Chapman Stick once...the ethereal sound of the stick make Imagine a great song to play...
If you have never heard a Chapman Stick - here is an example...
