      Dave -

So - you aren't nuts? Huh.

I have a habit of talking to myself - I mean, really, who else is going to listen...or care?

I talk to myself when I'm writing, too - my first attempt with Dragon had a couple "oh craps" in the middle of a paragraph. Guess I talk to myself even when I'm talking to myself....

Last time my son was visiting he came walking into the room asking "who are you talking to". Of course, I quickly said "the dog". I think he bought it.

I prefer the term "thinking out loud" to "talking to myself". The first is kind of cute, like the absent-minded professor. The second can get you the guys in white coat "coming to take me away, haha, heehee".

Hubby tells me I never stop talking and even talk in my sleep. I'm not sure I believe him though. :p

I grew up an only child (my only sibling is 15 years my junior) so talking to myself was a way of life and still is. This way I was sure someone always understood what I was talking about.

Some days I say to myself: "Self, what are you doing?" and Self says: "What YOU told me to."

You left your self so wide open for this Dave that even I'm too funny to bite... too easy- its beneath my standards.

Ps. Especially now that I have glasses.

I talk to myself 'cause I like talkin' to a good listener and listening to a good talker.

Just because talking to yourself doesn't mean your nuts - doesn't mean you are sane, Dave. Nice try.

    Talking to yourself is natural.

My problem is the heated and boisterous arguing that generally ensues: It really burns my butt when third-party busybodies stick their noses into it and try to separate us when we're really going at it!

Come on people! It's a private conversation!
