I've joined the ranks of millions of other people and now find myself without a job. What really sucks is I was using that income to fund my IM. I just got started not to long ago and now I'm going to have to rethink and shift gears. But I'm definitely not giving up! Just prioritizing.

The icing on the cake though - I worked as a contractor so I cannot claim unemployment.

The same thing happened to me. Since there is no money you just have to work harder at least that's how it seems to me. Eventually I will get there money or no money.

    Hi, Teresa,

    Don't fret the small stuff!

I haven't been able to work or earn money for about four and a half years. I have been stoney broke for the last few months.

What the hell - I have discovered that if I simply continue being my usual irrascible self, talk to people about their troubles, walk my dogs regardless of doctors orders and simply be too stubborn to fulfil my doctors' prognoses, poor isn't the worst thing to be.

The worst thing, for me, is knowing I have a product that will solve my financial problems but I can't find anyone to help with it.

You might not like what I say - but I believe it.
Build it, make money, then build some more
Some old school smarts would help - and here's to Rob Toth for his help. Bloody good stuff, even the freebies!

Artwebster - what kind of help do you need?

Theresa - been there, done that, got the t-shirt. And ya know something? I'm still here and still lovin' life. It gets rough here and again - sales are down, etc. But I have so many friends in so many places. Via my website, which deals with my life's obsession (rock and gem hunting) I have met some of the most fascinating people in the world who have shared some of the most secret of secrets of their fields with me that I'd otherwise never even known, let alone known before everyone else - or to the complete exclusion of everyone else. I've met many of my members who share their favorite rockhound sites and tricks with me advancing my own knowledge and abilities in the field. I've tackled technology I'd have never dared to touch otherwise. I've been helped when I was down, and been able to help others along the way even when my own seas were rough.

Being out of money is a devastating experience - but where else other than IM can you actually build a life and network and have these types of good things happen while you are having your face rubbed in the mud?

You are going to be okay - life will suck some here and there. You may get juggled like a freaking tennis ball for awhile - but you are going to be okay. Keep your eye on where you want to go instead of the ground where you got knocked down and you will find a great adventure in front of you. Life is just one long string of experiences, so have them all. Good and bad, they all add up to create a very special person.

Just remember, being knocked down is almost always better than
    being knocked up.

For serious, just this morning someone remarked how well I do with
my "disabilities". It took me off guard because I forget that its how
most people see me. I would be the first to admit that the things I
cope with are a first class nuisance but I could also make a good
argument that they are some of my greatest blessings. If the good
fairy floated in here and offered to make me "normal" again (whatever
that is) but only on the condition that I have to give back all that I
have learned about people, life and myself from my "nuisances" I would
chase her away in a second. Life is a choice, viewpoint is a choice,
If you don't see an opportunity then create one. Close your eyes and
see yourself as Xena, Warrior Princess, sword and all. See yourself as the
smartest, strongest, prettiest, most creative person in the world and start
swinging the sword. You will never know what you are capable of until your
    back is to the wall.

Well..... I too am in similar challenges.
      Old sucks big time.

I was hoping to get an idea to help but, as a Manly Man, I'm hesitant in applying your suggestions.

I always did find Xena's outfit kind of attractive.

SO, what the heck, I'll give it a shot.
What have I got to lose?
Certainly not self esteem, that was gone ages ago.
Would it be O.K. if I substituted a Zorro type sword and can I wear a black doo rag?

You'll have to convince my handler here at the,,,ah,,,
the home, yeah the home that's it, to authorize it for me to be allowed to handle sharp objects again. I'm sick of these plastic sporks!

GL may you find you way. Just don't ask for a map from me.

Tom - I think my hubby would be very upset with me if I got knocked up cause he would not be the father (cue Maury Povich voice) lol

Thanks all for the replies and as I said, I may be down now but I am not out. Just going to have to go a different avenue.

Sonni & Art - I hope all works out for the best for the both of you as well.

War, you can be anyone you choose as long as it helps. I like being
