Hello to all,

I possess a hosting account with hostgator.in and use to host my 8-9 blogs with them. I use to work regularly on all of my blogs.

Till yesterday everything was ok, i made 5-6 new post and went to sleep, and today when i wake up, to my horror i see last post made on my site is on March 30.

Then when i checked my all sites i came to know that my account has been restored to 1 month back that too without my consent.

i had lost all the posts (110+), 5 newly purchased personally customized themes and various setting being done on the all blogs

When i contacted hostgator they are saying that no one from their technical team had done this.

My head is paining like hell, what should i do now, Google Panda will now kill all of my sites

*Mod please take care if the thread has been posted in right section

Did you try and ask hostgator what might have caused it and asked them where you could go to for help on this?

Hostgator should hvae backups less that a month old. Maybe you can co9nvince them to retore for free, but I doubt it.I had it done once long ago but the problem was caused by me so when I had to pay I understood.

It sounds to me like someone restored the wrong account. I've seen it happen in the past. If this is the case, there isn't much you can do. Most large web hosts only run weekly backups, and sometimes only monthly backups. I'd suggest your next host be one that provides nightly backups without a restore fee.

You should ask them what is the most recent backup they have got and ask them to restore it. There are daily, weekly, and monthly backup. You may have to use the weekly backup because the latest daily backup may contained the erroneously restored version.

I think weekly is what they had for me.
