FORUM GETTING SLOW?

It is not my computer slowing up when i log in to warrior lately it takes ages for the new page to appear, just understanding that this site is huge anyway with about 30,000 users at a given time. Is it the peak time saga or what?

slow navigating the pages.
Is there database issues I wonder? Or anything dragging the performance of the site down?
How are you finding it?

    been on since 09 and have noticed it getting significantly slower at various times of the day (right now for example), particularly in the last several months.
  • I'm in UK time.

    Last evening and this evening the forum is frustratingly slow.

    I've seen it get slow on occasions before this, but it's been slow for long periods last night and tonight.
  • System resources are not unlimited. This board has more registered users than any other I have seen in all my years on the internet. Is it slow a more frequently now a days? Yes.
    What is the solution?

    Maybe everyone just needs to log out and log back in - that way the actual active users are logged in, instead of many who are "logged in", but not "logged on" at the time...

    • If we could just get those logged in but not logged on to get logged out we'd have logged a change.

      I don't think that would help, but it was fun to write "logged" so many times in one sentence.

  • I've noticed the fastest load times are around 4am eastern standard, I think that's 8am GMT/UTC.
    But this time of day, it's catch as you can.

  • Has anyone been having troubles with PM's as well?
  • I'm having weird issues in that most times my posts don't show up and I can't even PM or delete my PM's. Everyone appears offline to me even though I'm logged on.

    Any suggestions?

  • Sometimes the Search function does not work, whoever or whatever I tried to search for returned NO MATCHES. Sometimes page 2 of a thread does not load. Sometimes graphics do not load...trying to logout and login again does not seem to help. You just have to try again later when the server is not so busy, I guess.
