Wow - less than 10 km deep - that's a shallow quake. I bet there's some substatial damage around the epicenter. It's really rare for people to be killed in 5 mag quakes - and normally not in 6 mag either.........but at those magnitudes structures can incur enough damage to make the quakes really spendy disasters.

Glad it was a low enough mag not to be deadly and hope you didn't sustain any real spendy damage.
