Think they might be asking too much? :p

It’s possible to be aggressive in the pursuit of your goals, it’s even possible to be righteously harsh on those who have damaged the economic prospects of your membership. And then it’s possible to be the RIAA and fall off the edge into economic insanity. For in the case against LimeWire the RIAA is claiming $72 trillion in damages. This is more than the value of everything produced in the world in an entire year, the entire output of all 7 billion human beings.

A record company wants you to believe that the piracy of one song cost them the value fo that song. WRONG!!!!!!!! Even a MOUSE could tell you that is NOT true, if it could ever communicate. The FACT is that, as the price goes down, the chances that it will be accepted and not refunded INCREASE! The record industry has BENEFITED from this fact for almost 100 years! YEP, BENEFITED! They may have a radio station play songs for FREE, indeed, even PAY to have them played, so the listener will BUY a copy.

So HECK, charge them some HIGH amount for the piracy, but hundreds of thousands for an individual, etc... is TOO MUCH.
