Beware Rogers phone users Canada

Just a warning that Rogers users phone numbers have been possibly hacked and there is a fake text message going to Rogers users saying you won something from bestbuy and to go to a link with bestbuy.ca as part of it where they want financial info.

    It's not just Rogers and/or Canada.
    In the states I use Sprint.
    Of course none of the carriers are going to tell you or warn you,it makes them look bad.
    My phone got the same text.
    I immediately deleted it.
    I never gave BestBuy my cell number and I never entered any contest that had a $100 Bestbuy card as a prize.

    When did this happened? You know I've been using Rogers but I'm kinda wondering how they got hacked. Well, I did received the text but doubt it when the financial info came into the conversation. Thank you for the warning. More power!

    I don't have a cell phone, but I would treat any and ALL "You Have Won..." messages on a phone the same as the ones I receive in my email: Don't believe them, don't trust them, delete them immediately.

    I put them in the exact same category as "Winning Lottery" announcements and the emails that say they are looking for a "partner" to receive $10 million into your bank account. Yeah, right!
