Making a Space shooter game - Ideas

Hi Guys,

This is my first post . Had few questions would like to ask everyone -

Was thinking of developing my own first game on iOS and was thinking to develop a simple retro style side scrolling space shooter game.

I did some reading around and found there are lots of space shooter titles already available in the market.

To start with Design - Wanted to know whats your favorite title?

      I have also found Whos that flying by mediatonic looks crazy with ninja as a character also the way he kills the boss with baseball bat...

      Looking forward for more reply's .. whats your favorite spaceship title?

      Adding another question - what kind boss you all will enjoy killing in a space environment side scrolling game?

      bailbondsguys - Flying Space Whale is very nice idea and Pinnochio as reference Thanks man....

      Archer - really liked the space deadbeef the only thing is - making click and direct missile might make game lil less challenging but adding this feature as a powerup will rock!!! thanks for reference!!

      JustinDupre - i have just checked Pix n Rush for iPhone and they have included space invader + other old best arcade titles - this is a nice feature to attract lots of gammers...Thanks!!
