My signature right has taken away!

Hello members,
I didn't do anything wrong with my signature link but my signature right is gone. I don't know why warriorforum mod did that. I asked to give my signature right back to admin, but I am not getting any response from him. I have sent two private messages to admin. I told him that I am sorry if I did something wrong unintentionally but still no reply from him.

Can anyone suggest me how can I get back my signature link?

Thanks

I found it pretty funny. You broke a rule in some way, shape, or form. Sure you say you didn't, but let's face it: you did. You will just have to wait for them to turn the feature back on (if they decide to do so). Spamming Allen directly isn't going to help. It'll probably hurt you to be honest.

I thought it was funny too.
Your dig doesn't get taken away for no reason.Like Joe said, you broke the rules in some manner and now you have to deal with the consequences.
You might want to go ahead and read all the forum rules so you don't break anymore.

In case you don't know where to look to find the signature file rules, here is a copy of what they are:

    SIGNATURE FILE RULES

Sig Files are getting out of hand.

We're getting all colors of the rainbow and some people are using massive fonts...comes a time when things need to get back into line so...

    NEW SIG FILE RULES

    (1) Maximum length of sig file is 5 lines which includes any blank lines used for spaces.

EDIT: War Room members are allowed up to 6 lines.

    (2) You are only permitted 1 color in your sig file, this can be any color so long as it's black (hyper links can be blue as they come up this way on the board)

    (3) Sig files may only be written in the normal standard font size.

    (4) You may bold or italicize but that's it.

    added by admin:

    (5) No Affiliate Links Allowed - Promote Your Own Domain/s Only. It's either this or we have to cut out sig files altogether which we do not want to do.

If you have broken any of the above rules, a mod will remove your signature file.
P.S. You can find all the rules for the Warrior Forum on the main forum link at:
http://www.warriorforum.com/ then Click 'Main Internet Marketing Discussion Forum.'

There are six Sticky's at the top of the page that all new members should read. The information about the signature files is in the Sticky titled: http://www.warriorforum.com/main-int...ing-forum.html

Hope this helps you understand what happened.

The educational value of this forum continues unabated: call me sheltered, but this thread was actually the first time I ever heard of lamingtons. Having now investigated a little, it looks like I've been missing out on something really worthwhile and pretty interesting (and possibly even just as good a niche as cauliflower soup?) ...

What? I have contributed this forum from last three months. My post count is 182, May be mod hide my post(s) to other members from viewing.

I have read the signature rules and still can't figure out what I did wrong....It would be better if I could get a notice from the mod who thought I did something illegal. I didn't even receive a warning!

But thanks for sharing the rules. Still hoping that, I would get a notification from mod or admin.

*By the way I know who is the "admin", but how to find "mods"?

          My apologies.
Must have been a glitch in the system when I made that post because it was showing your stats at zero when I did it.

We do see a lot of newer people come in here and complain about this or that and most do have a zero count or they have not bothered to read the rules and/or contribute anything of value,

          A piece of friendly advice:

Drop it. Don't contact anyone - admin or mod. You won't get an answer unless it is being banned and no warnings normally come either because they'd not get anything else done for answering complaints and sending warnings all day. Don't post again about it either. Figure out the rule you've broken. Change your signature and hope for the best.

          Mark

PS If the only reason you're here is to have your signature seen, that comes across pretty clear. Learn to be part of the community and contribute even if you have no signature.

and you wont have to worry about finding them ...

Been too busy, basically. Just been visiting and reading, learning, but have stepped it up a bit lately due to more free time. Got a couple of cool WSO's lately too, they're all so tempting with nice sales pages.

My recommendation for anyone who breaks the rules would be to forget about signature links. Forum moderators are deluged with spammers these days and cannot afford to show tolerance for people who violate a forum's simple rules.

Do you post in the main internet marketing discussion forum? Do you blatantly self-promote like 90% of the posters there seem to be doing these days?

I'm beginning to think a couple of things, one that the system itself is not really made to handle the volume this board is getting and/or that the basic platform has been modified many times to add features that aren't normally included that it has such system hiccups.

You don't have a "right" to have a signature here. It's a privilege. If you violate the rules you can lose the privilege. You say you didn't do anything wrong, but they didn't take away the privilege for no reason.

I suggest you read the rules carefully. In my observations most people who claim they did nothing wrong actually did something wrong and just weren't aware of it. It's your responsibility to know the rules.

No its not like a family member or my home, nor I got big sales out of it. I feel its not the right way, Its an insult for me. I feel at least I could be notified by mods or admins if I did something wrong (I didn't spam, My signature was not more than 5 lines, I didn't use any color then what did I do?). I also said sorry if I did something unintentionally. But NO WORD from them? NO WORD absolutely, not a pm from any mods after opening this off topic?!

I think that's unacceptable. That's all, I have known people who like to hurt other people when they are seeking help, so I don't mind your answers.

      You want your sig back?
      Here's what you do.
First stop whining about it here.
No one cares that you lost your sig, seriously.
Second read the forum rules on signatures.
Third after reading the rules figure out what you did wrong.
Fourth put in a ticket at the support desk, stating what happened, what you did wrong that caused it, and that you read the rules and will not do that again.

[chuckle] There's no guarantee that will help, and less guarantee I won't just turn your sig off again.

Thom's advice would be fine for most situations. Yours is not "most," though. You are one of a large group from a single city (a huge city, granted) who have taken to flooding this forum with posts seemingly intended for the sole purpose of sig file exposure. Almost all of them pitching SEO services.

Combine that with a bunch of one-liners, and you look like just another link-spammer.

So, I ask again, why should we care what YOU think is unacceptable?

I see that in some of the threads you report. I especially like the threads that are all link spammers talking to one another. Gives us a chance to nuke a whole pack of them at once.

When you report those, please point out that it's a spamathon thread.

                Paul
Lol, yeah those guys think their clever. The OP in the spam threads will sometimes not have a sig & ask an off the wall question, something like "What is SEO?" (in the SEO forum, lol), then like 10 other member names below them will spam the thread like crazy, usually one liners or obvious copy & paste from external web pages.

Another one that's kinda funny is when the spammmer copy & paste legit comments from the same thread, so it might have 2 exact comments from 2 separate forum members.

I know WF Mods stay busy dealing with the spam, just know it's appreciated that it gets cleaned up.

I can't see that, and Paul can I request you to delete this thread? I got what I was looking for. From next time I will create support ticket if I face any issue (hopefully not )

Yes, you can make that request. No, it will not be fulfilled.

You are officially "on my radar." In this case, that means go away until "the heat death of the Universe" or "Dhaka is no longer a threat to this forum."

Yes, think of the mods as your personal customer service team. They live to explain every singles situation to every single Warrior who can't read the rules. It's what they're paid for.

You mean they don't get paid? And they spend so much time cleaning up crap that they can't play the back and forth game with people who can't read the rules?

      Bummer.
