Can't find the Thanks-Button

I have looked at a bunch of posts, and I'd like to thank
some of them for some great contributions, but I don't
see a 'Thanks' button/link.

Is it possible that the Thanks button only appears after you
get to so many posts ?

Bottom of the post. Far right corner. Black button that says "Thanks."

    Josh,

    Thanks for posting your reply.

At the bottom right corner of your post there are 3 black buttons:
    "QUOTE"
    "MULTIQUOTE"
    "QUICK REPLY"

Below that, on the far-left is one more button:
    "POST REPLY"

I don't see a Thanks button anywhere ... but I'm sure it exists since you have Thanked me.

I guess it won't show up for me until I reach a certain number of posts.

I believe that the "Thanks" button doesn't show up until you reach at least 5 posts. And posts made in Off Topic (which is where you are now) do not count towards your post total.

    Hope that helps.

    Teresa,

    Thanks for the reply.

Well, you were correct ... after I made my 5th post, the Thanks buttons were automatically shown for all posts now.

One nice thing is that it did include the two posts I made here (in Off Topic) in getting to the 5 posts required.

Now all I need is 8 more to get to the 15 required to send a PM.

Thanks, that explains why I couldn't find it either. It seems a bit silly though, so if a newbie wants to thank someone, they need to write a full post.

I felt the same way at first, but after making a few post and getting into the topics I find I'm really beginning to enjoy this... learning alot:-)
