Hi,

My name is Kate and I'm new to the forums. I've been reading and reading for the past year but haven't actually taken any action, so I'm hoping getting involved here will help me get the courage to just go for it. Whatever it is. I'm having a little trouble focusing obviously!

I look forward to meeting some new people on here!

PS, I put a link in my signature and after reading the rules, I'm confused about whether this is allowed or not...if not, I will certainly remove it but I'm hoping this is considered OK

  • Hi Kate,

Welcome. Glad to know that you are moving forward by participating. As far as your link goes, if the product is your own, i.e. you created it - then there is no problem. However if it is an affiliate product, which it appears to be, then you will need to remove it.
  • Welcome to the Forum Kate

I am sure you will be on your way to becoming a successful internet marketer, if thats you goal of course ^^

  • Welcome to the forum!

Unfortunately, the link is a referral link, so you should remove it from your sig ASAP.

    • Done! Thanks for clearing that up...I have another question that I can't seem to figure out here. I tried replying to a different post and got an error saying that I need to have 20 posts before I can comment. Is there a way to tell which ones I'm allowed to comment on before I write and then get denied? Thanks for your help!
  • Hi there, Kate, and welcome!

As far as the link, if I'm not mistaken, they should be more for blogs or actual websites, not direct affiliate links. Hopefully someone can clear it up more than I can
  • Welcome to the Warrior Forum.... your at the best place here for everything internet marketing related. Lots of awesome information here
  • Kate, Something doesn't sound quite right. Usually, you will only only not be allowed to comment/reply to a post if you are not logged in. Could you be a bit more specific (if possible) about what happened.

    • In some sections of the WF, you can't comment until you have a certain number of posts. I think the Product Review section is like that. Nothing to worry about, just participate in other subforums for a while.

    • Hi,

Well I actually came across these forums yesterday when I was looking for info about ZeekRewards. I found a thread with people asking specific questions and I tried to reply, but needed an account. So I set up my account and things looked good, but when I tried to post the reply again, I got an error that said:

To reply to threads in this forum your post count must be 20 or greater.

      You currently have 2 posts.

(I just re-tried right now.) Here is where I was trying to write:

      /internet-marketing-product-reviews-ratings/625490-zeek-rewards-too-good-true.html

I just don't see anything obvious that is telling me it is some sort of special thread...thanks!

Also, I tried to post the link to the thread I was having trouble with and got this error, lol:

To be able to post links or images your post count must be 15 or greater. You currently have 2 posts.

Please remove links from your message, then you will be able to submit your post.

  • Hang in there Kate. Do your posting in the main internet marketing discussion forum for now - though do try to keep your posts relevant and on topic - you will soon find yourself happily involved and able to ask questions and receive answers from the other forum sections.

Hi Kate - it's the section of the forum that determines whether or not you can reply to a thread, not the nature of the thread itself.

In that section, "Product Reviews and Ratings", you need 20 posts. I didn't know this, either, but it seems that it does actually say so, here: http://www.warriorforum.com/internet...s-section.html

Posts made in the "Off Topic" and "WSO" forums don't count toward your post-count. I believe all others do.

    • Hi Kate!
      Welcome to the Warrior Forum!

I definitely suggest reading the forum rules and T.O.S.

The main thing is to join in discussions you can relate to and
      add value to the conversation.

      People will thank you!

      Good luck!

    Hi

I would wager that it happens to the best of us. This is where discipline (or meds) will come in.

The link cannot be an affiliate link. It must be a link to a website that you own. Or it must link to a forum thread that you created.

Apart from that, welcome to the forums. I have no doubt that you will learn a great deal about this industry.
  • Hello, Kruhlen.

Welcome. Like I said in another post, courage is absolutely important. A lot of people will fail when trying online marketing simply because they never even get started. So you are definitely on the right path here. The more courage and persistence that you can conjur up, the better! Try to make some effort to choose a good path as a starting point.

Misinformation that leads you on the wrong path can cause a lot of problems for people starting out. A simple but very effective tip that I can give you would be: Stay away from any type of system or course that offers to make you an insane amount of money in a ridiculous period of time. The reality is that any systems, or loopholes that can generate huge income in a very short period of time, with little to no effort, are likely going to be scams, and nobody would be sharing them in the first place. Good luck!

    Oliver

There are restrictions on links in posts. You cannot post links to your own sites or affiliate offers. People who post links in a post are just posting mostly a reference link, such as a link to a breaking news story or a great site that is not yours that has something we might be interested in.
