Why we haven't destroyed this planet enough yet. And when we ,we don't deserve another one to destroy.

WORD! Mother Earth is dying, and It's all because of us. Our greediness and selfishness destroying her. I'm a Green Peace volunteer now, trying my best to help save Mother Earth.

I can see some scientist at NASA saying there is another planet like Earth and we have a big ship to get there.
All the politicians and ultra wealthy pay to go and as they take off and leave Earths orbit he announces to the rest of us he lied.

I don't really care, according to Einstein, we will never get there. According to his theory, we will never be able to travel more than the speed of light, and most of the stars are thousands to millions of light years away.

Don't need to find another one - EO, 3rd moon of Jupitor. We can send everyone evil there and then rebuild here. As many evil as there are here we could trim our population down to about 1/2 and then just learn to have a little respect with our breeding habits.
Be easy to fix us if we were rabbits - just do some rabbit bashing like they do in Idaho when the rabbit herds get too thick for survival.

I think you mean Io. It's not inhabitable. The atmosphere isn't breathable, and crap rains down from volcanic plumes at the speed of a rifle bullet. There's only one planet in this solar system where humans can survive, and we're all currently on it.

LOL - yep, I'm good at forum misspellings.

Earth used to be like that, too - but I figure by the time we get prepared and ready to actually get there things will have calmed down, just like here. Besides - the only ones we need to send are the trash that's causing the problems and who the hell cares if they make it or not.

Unfortunately, if we did find an earth like planet and it was inhabited, we would do what mankind has always done - we would find a way to get there, kill the local inhabitants and claim it for our own.

You might not like what I say - but I believe it.
Build it, make money, then build some more

Even if there are some earth like planets out there, I'll still stick here. Maybe those people who do not appreciate and do not want to take care of earth should move to those supposedly earth-like planets. That way, pollution here will be lessened.

I always think about this. Seriously there are so many planets in this galaxy there has to be one like earth. Just the right distance from the sun. I hope we find it in our lifetime.

There's got to be another Earth, I'm sure there are thousands or millions more maybe even further advanced than us. If we found earthlike planets? Nah, nothing would really change until the day we/they made contact. Then, religions would unravel and people would panic. The stock market would take a dive... but not as bad as last year!

Sending satellites into space to search for other planets like Earth is nothing but a waste of billions of taxpayer dollars. If we actually find any, they will be light years away, making it impossible to ship humans there as they will grow old and die before they get there!

I don't believe the Earth is dieing. The Earth was created to last a certain number of years, something that mankind was designed to 'use up', and that once it is almost depleted, 'someone' (we can't discuss religion here, so I won't...) will return and make it as it was in the beginning, kinda like hit the refresh button...

So don't worry about it. Everything is going right according to plan.

If we can't send certain individuals such as child molesters, octamoms and bankers to distant moons, perhaps we can still find a pit to toss them into, one that is deep enough to save the rest of us from their terrors.

Or perhaps we can strap them in capsules and just fire them into space...that would give NASA a job they are actually good at and those billions wouldn't be a complete waste.

If we can't fire them into space, then lets take that money and "house the people living in the streets, shoe the children with no shoes on their feet, oh, oh, there's a solution."

The rich people leaving this planet for the rest of us? That's more likely a good thing.

But how will they get all of their fortunes to a new planet, and what good would money be in a society that is as yet unfounded?

Plus rich people grow old and die just like anyone else on the long trip to their new home...they'll be in no condition to be able to enjoy life on whatever it would be called. It would be suicide to attempt such a thing.

Didn't you know? The evil people are sent to Mars via the pyramids (it's complicated) where there are giant spiders and scorpions. That's why the space aliens taught the Egyptians to build the giant pyramid in alignment with Orion's belt. Wait untill 2013 and you'll see what I mean.

Maybe if it were a really teeny tiny planet we could send all the people
who still think George W is a gifted statesman.

For serious, why do we always assume that if there were life on other
planets the people would be more advanced than us. Maybe they'd be
primitive man and even more primitive woman. Maybe they'd only be in
the Jurassic Age. Maybe they'd just be hopeless morons.

Tom, Is that you, Tom? Now I can believe we've agreed on a few things -- but I just nodded at your post about POLITICS. Okay folks - hell is about to freeze over. Who's already got plans for that one? I have a feeling a lot of REALLY BAD dates are about to take place.

Hmmm U.S. Census Bureau says 7 Billion on the planet (critical mass)
by 2012 (December 21st?) I'm gonna have popcorn popped and sodas

Bad date huh? I'm thinkin' breakfast in Daytona watching the sunrise on the
Atlantic. Lunch in Orlando at Disney Safari. Dinner at the Bil-Mar in Madeira Beach
watching the sunset over the Gulf Of Mexico. Sittin' in lawn chairs by the waters
edge watching the boats go in and out of Johns Pass waitin' for the full moon to
rise. (How am I doing so far?)
