Help for Heroes

Not sure how many of you know Danny Cutts, but he and his good lady Jane are trying to raise some money for charity - Help for Heroes to be exact.

They're cycling from John O'Groats to Lands End. No mean feat at the best of times, but with the weather we've been having lately, they may just end up swimming it!!!

Anyway, Danny being the cool marketing guy he is, he's put up a website to share the trip and where y'all can go and donate.
John O'Groats To Lands End On A Bike And Around The UK In 21 Days

He also has a Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/1500milesuk and I just know you all wouldn't mind sharing that page with your gazillion friends on Facebook, and asking them to do the same...

Danny's already put a lot of work into promoting this trip himself, including getting in touch with press, radio and TV, but with a cause this worthy, I'm sure you'll all agree the more we can get the word out, the better.

So please folks, do your bit to help our heroes. Donate what you can and spread the word to as many folks as possible.

Thanks.

  • Good stuff San, thanks for letting us know!

  • For those of you who don't recognize John O'Groats or Lands End, Danny and Jane are riding from the north end to the south end of England. That's 1500 miles. I've never been to England, but I'm pretty sure that route will have at least as many ups and downs as it has flats...

Let me join San in her request that you stop by the website, and the facebook page: Leave comments, spread the word, and maybe make a donation--if you can spare a couple of dollars, euros, or pounds.

Danny leaves this Wednesday, the 18th, and expects the trip to take about 3 weeks. He has promised to post updates on both the website and the facebook page, so stop by often to see their progress.

And thanks for taking out a few minutes to support Danny and Jane as they ride to raise money and awareness for the charitable organization that helps the United Kingdom's wounded veterans, Help for Heroes. You guys are the best!

    • And let us thank you, our 'American cousin' for the geography lesson.

      Dan

PS: Good luck with the ride. I see one of them thanked the OP so is a member here. Maybe both are.

  • Hi

    Thanks to everybody :-)

We are not cycling directly between the two place... me being me likes a real challenge :-) We are going via all of the national parks on the way down :-)

Its been a tough couple of years for me and for my friends and family and this adventure will be a fantastic final chapter to that part of my life :-)

Please spread, share and support us :-)

    Danny
  • This is a pretty big sacrifice that Danny and Jane are making for a good cause.

Not only have they spent countless hours training, and money on biking gear - they also have to pay for meals and lodging along the way.

Not to mention Danny taking 3 weeks off from running his business and money making activities.
