Why Its important to Spread Good IM Information and not Be A Poser....

I tell them they should just learn the sales material for an actual credible product, or service, and be a salesman instead until they have learned some things... But that doesnt always work.

I tried to share some actual knowledge about forum posting...thinking it would help some people, in a free report- but you are right, ones with no empathy take that knowledge and use it to prey. Sometimes even good knowledge is dangerous in non empathetic hands.

Ps. Sal, I do also understand that between what Diane is saying and what you are saying, It will never go away, because alot of times hunger and oppressive circumstances can kill empathy, because people get the idea that they are Robin hood, and justify it to themselves...lol

Meaning: They think that they need the money more than the people they are taking from, so no harm.


Ps.Im not trying to be the moral police but this post was inspired by watching another warrior give some perfectly HORRID advice that could send a newby down the wrong path for months, and the reason was because they didnt know what they were talking about, just posting to be "seen".

I admire your desire to share an honourable stance and to stand firm on those beliefs.

But this problem won't go away on forums, on the internet and in society in general until it stops trickling down from the top (the very 'top' in society, not the top of forums).

Empathy vs psychopathy.

Currently, the former is (or can feel like) a losing proposition for those of us who can only do things one particular way because we 'self-police' ourselves, because there is only one way - the honourable way.

Ayn Rand summed it up in Atlas Shrugged -

"When a society establishes criminals-by-right and looters-by-law, men who use force to seize the wealth of disarmed victims, then money becomes its creators' avenger. Such looters believe it safe to rob defenseless men, once they've passed a law to disarm them. But their loot becomes the magnet for other looters, who get it from them as they got it. Then the race goes, not to the ablest at production, but to those most ruthless at brutality. When force is the standard, the murderer wins over the pickpocket.
