Mine right now is granola without raisins of course.

As a kid it was fruity pebbles or capn crunch.

As a kid - Fruit Loops and Captn Crunch

Now, there's a "generic" cereal I can only find at Safeway called Blueberry Crunch that I really like. I also like Apple Jacks and Frosted Mini Wheats.

I used to be on a Frosted Mini Wheats kick, but finally got tired of it after a few months. Now I scarf down Post Alphabets, Life and Chocolate Special K.

Frosted mini wheats, corn flakes and wheat flakes, all store brands.
When I was a kid it was the large shredded wheat with powdered flavored jello and milk.

      Frosted Flakes! They're GRRRRRRRRRRRRRREAT!

I also like the Kroger generic blueberry cereal. Can't remember the name of it. It's better than the name brand Blueberry Morning or whatever it's called.

When I was a kid, we only got Cheerios or Rice Krispies.

Now, Lucky Charms or Frosted Mini Wheats Blueberry flavor.

Who ever said I was an adult?

Since I was a kid, I would eat all of the "cereal" part first and have a bowl of marshmallow charms floating in milk - then I would eat this up in heaping spoonfuls.

And yes - I still eat it just that way. My wife giggles whenever she see's it too.

I had a really busy time in my life when I was looking for something
like that. Just a big bag that will keep indefinitely and you can scoop
out a bowl any time you want, add beer and eat. I still think this is a
good idea and I might work on the product occasionally in the kitchen.

My favorite breakfast at one point was beer and fried chicken, didn't
care if it wasn't a cereal.

For me it is best to go to work first and have breakfast there. There
is quite a bit of detail in the reasons for that, but to make a tedious
story short, ...Ouch! Well ok, if you let go of my arm I'll skip it
        completely.

And while I was having breakfast at work popcorn worked incredibly
well. I could just keep it in a bag in my locker and use ordinary
brown paper bags to pop it in the microwave. You don't need the
bags they usually sell microwave popcorn in. (The things you learn
here.) There was a freezer in the lunch room fridge where I could
keep some frozen butter and melt a bit each time I made it.

I did get phone calls from 4 floors up in the building saying they
could smell it from there, and quite a few comments that it wasn't
very healthy. I used to ask "And cornflakes is the breakfast of
        champions?"

Never had a comeback from that one.

    It happened again this morning...

I was sitting at the table, reading the paper and eating my Lucky Charms in my usual manner (see my post above) and my wife walked by ... and giggled.

To make matters worse, so did my 14 year old step daughter!

I dig this wacky brand called Strawberry Awake. I think it's an off-brand. Of course, my problem is that it generally ends up as a snack, rather than breakfast.

Also, can't go wrong with raisin bran. If you like raisins. And Bran...and fiber, and stuff.
