Does anyone else have this problem with Chrome?

On the occasions when I use Chrome, the text is often messed up. If you look at the attachment you'll see what I mean. In second to the last line the height of the text is kind of squished together a little, deforming many of the letters. In the last line you'll see the top of most of the lower case letters is completely cut off.

This doesn't happen in IE, FF, or Opera ... just Chrome. It doesn't matter if I magnify the view, it still does the same thing. If I scroll the bad part out of view sometimes it clears up, but another part will be messed up. If I reload the page something will still be messed up.

Anyone else have this problem?

      Don't be sorry, be glad!

It's annoying to say the least.

Actually if you have an hour or so I could tell you all my problems with Chrome - all magnified with Windows7.

In fact I have experienced this - and what is really maddening is even when you copy and paste it to Word and try to fix the height for the document it won't change.

I am fuming today because I got sick of being sick of Chrome and Firefox and I switched to Comodo Dragon which is just like a Hot Rod Chrome with Security.

Well it has a few of the dumb things Chrome has (it's genetic) - namely telling me some sites 'cannot be displayed' and then all you do is hit the carriage return and there is the site. ... and again I HATE doing everything TWICE.

So whatever the glitch is this particular one started with my new computer and OS (Windows7).

I also got super locked out of a cpanel last night - I was in there and did a few things and it suddenly decided to kick me out for some perceived violation.

It wouldn't let me back even to the cpanel login screen - I cleared my cache and even switched browsers.

Finally after trying over and over I ran crap cleaner and rebooted and nice as pie I guess I am not the bad guy and it let me back in.

    whiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiinnnnnnnnnnnneee

will somebody please invent a decent browser?

Chrome doesn't work for me. It closes down after awhile. Just like that.. For no particular reason. I had to switch back to FF.

And Chrome has despicable customer support. There are quite a few people who have posted on their Google group about this problem but they haven't replied or even tried to fix this issue.

Have you tried Safari, Pat? It's decent. Now, I'm no apple fanboy, but you use Dragon Browser. Might as well give this one a shot.

Paste it into Notepad, Pat. I've done that before and it works fine.

And "amen to the last line. I'd like to take the best of parts of the four I use and "mash 'em" into one.

        They have support?

        Do you use Safari, Sumit?

Another bug with Chrome is that it doesn't always measure things right. Sometimes I have to place my cursor a quarter inch or so BELOW a link to click it. Placing it on the link does nothing. When I've wanted to highlight a line of text to copy and paste, I've had times when I have to place the cursor on the line below the one I want to copy. Sometimes the bottom of pages get cut off too. It's pretty screwy.

Occasionally. Whenever I need to login to two different accounts of the same service (like Gmail), which is not often honestly. It's slightly faster than most browsers I've tried (I would know. I'm on a 256K connection). Also, it starts up pretty quick (like Chrome and unlike Firefox which takes a good number of seconds). I don't switch over to Safari because I'm too lazy to find Safari alternatives to extensions I use on FF and frankly, I've been.. umm.. institutionalized now to FF's interface.

Sumit, I suppose I'll have to try Safari next. Then I'll probably have five browsers I like some and dislike some.
