    05 Road Star Silverado.
Speaking of old dude, I just added a drivers backrest to mine.
Next I want to replace the shield with a fairing and the leather bags with hard bags.
My buddy Sidecar Willie said it best.
The older you get the more you replace what you took off when you where younger.
    But you're still riding.

Yeah I'd like a back rest too, more and more every time I ride.

Naw Willie would want royalties and all that kind of stuff, lol.
        Speaking of Willie.
Here's an old video of him and a man who I considered a mentor and and brother, Spacer. Spacer passed on two years ago and he rode right up to the end. The lady to Willies left is Donna or "Tiny" .
She's not only the president of A.N.U.S. (American Unimotorcycle Society that Willie started) but she holds the world record for going 97 feet. on a compressed air powered rocket sled. She stretched out something like 3 in. that day Took her over a year going to the chiropractor to get her spine back in place, lol.
Any ways it was Spacer and Willie who taught me what riding was about back 40 something years ago. I still ride with Willie whenever I ride down to Fl. At about 3 mins. in they get into the racing.

The video was a little choppy, could have been my crummy DSL connection.

First off thanks for sharing that ThomM, I watched till the end and learned a few things.

First... Damn I miss Tampa sometimes, I actually moved there in November of 96 so had I been into bikes at that time I would have been pissed at missing this.

Second... I should have started riding years ago (well I kind of figured that out after I bought my bike). I've only got a few seasons in the saddle and way fewer miles on the clock than I would like.

This looks like Hella fun, I'm sure I'd get the standard disapproving look from my wife but she's an RN and has done patch up work on bike wrecks before. She does ride though so I might get away with trying one of those monsters out.

Again ThomM, great share, glad you have that video, hard losing a brother and always nice to have something like this to watch and remember.

No it's kind of a choppy video
I lived in Tampa back in the 70's.
First day in town I met 3 guys who rode. With in a month 1 was dead and 1 was paralyzed Spacer had a car pull out in front of him and ended up with a broken back. I had a car make a turn in front of me and almost lost my right leg that was wedged between his rear bumper and quarter panel. In fact I stopped riding for 25 years thanks to my Tampa riding experiences. It almost goes without saying, but it was Spacer who got me back into riding in 2005
I haven't tried the unimotorcycle racing yet, heck I haven't got the balls up to ride into Willies compound yet (He lives in a swamp).
            But I'm only 59 I got time

Yeah, I hear you, a buddy of mine said something once that stuck with me my whole time down there, kept me from even thinking about buying a bike...

"too man New Jersey blue hairs sporting a brandy buzz for me to want to ride a bike down here"

Found this pic on my laptop, this was back when it was kept clean and polished everyday (before I bought it LOL). Pic was from the PO, got a pretty good deal on it and it's been an awesome first bike. Spent a little time on dirt bikes when I was a kid but this was my first scooter.

Well for some reason the pic isn't showing, eh, it's the thought that counts right? LOL Let me try again with a different format...

              No dice, sorry man

I used to say back then that there where two types of people in Fl. Old people on Valium or young people on Qualudes
Did you try uploading it as an attachment?
