[funny]Asking for Coke or Cock?

LOL! what a lauhgtrip!

Three interesting, or sad things about this.

1. The NON trademarked general name for a product such as COKE, is COLA!!!!!!! So it is the SAME in korean! COKE is a name used ONLY because they were the first such product, and provided to the US military so it quickly spread world wide. But you have COCA COLA(AKA COKE), PEPSI COLA, ROYAL CROWN COLA, ETC....

2. COLA uses the SAME first sylable as COKE! Try to say COCO without the last O, and you have it! It may sound a TINY bit off, but it will be closer and readily understood.

3. You would HOPE that a teacher would try to have the right accent.

I HATE berlitz! WHY? Because I once got a german book from them, and KNEW some stuff was wrong. It IS! I have heard German people from ALL over and it is RARE that anything comes close. I once read a Berlitz book that was english for spanish speakers. Any spanish speaker trying to use it would have a heavy "spanish" accent. REGARDLESS OF ORIGINAL ACCENT! ALSO, I don't recall them talking about different spanish accents. That could affect the end result. I put "spanish" in quotes because, though it is a stereotypical spanish accent, it was TAUGHT that way! I have seen Indian teachers of "english" do the SAME.

If you take a course that is not from someone that knows both languages, and speaks the target language from a country known for that as its main language, as a native speaker, WATCH OUT!
