How do you think Warrior Forum would fair on an ethics exam?

Just taking a little break. Reading the post about using false titles, and the conversation following it, moved me to ask this question.

How do you think the Warrior Forum user base would fair on an ethics test?

Maybe I'm naive, but I think most people are generally decent. I think most would pass, maybe (I hope?).

How about you?

I think most of the user base would either skip the exam because they couldn't monetize it, or look for an 'outsourcer' on Fiverr or oDesk...

Edit: Forgot to include the ones busily working on their "How to pass the Warrior Forum Ethics Exam" WSOs...

I bet most Warriors would fail an ethics exam. I only say this because the word exam paints a picture of a college-level course. Therefore, the test would use specific terminology, cover theories, philosophy, and more; making it difficult for the average person to pass.

On the other hand, I believe most people, everywhere, are basically honest. The Warrior Forum is no exception.

However, your poll question didn't ask if Warriors were basically honest, so I didn't answer.

The funny thing is that a poll on this wouldn't prove anything about Warrior's collective honesty. In fact, it wouldn't even be an accurate representation about how people feel about other's level of honesty. The only thing it would show is how the people who took the time to answer feel about the subject. And even at that, it would only be a guess, and probably not a very educated one. It would just be a series of guesses. Guesses based on confirmation bias. So, I'm not sure how much value there is in such a poll, but hopefully it begins a good discussion.

    All the best,
    Michael

  • I'm building a business that I intend on teaching and passing on to my kids. If its something I couldn't tell my family I was doing, I wouldn't do it.

That said, I agree that people are generally decent. This forum (like any) is a microcosm of the real world and not everyone in the world has the best intentions. Add to that the certain amount of anonymity that the web provides and there is is certianly room for bad intentions.

I think most real Warriors are basically honest, although they may indulge in a little 'colorful language' called marketing - (or hype).

However if you look at the statistics on any day you will see by far the majority of 'users' are not Warriors but guests.

    Like right now:

    What's Going On?

Currently Active Users: 21357 (5733 members and 15624 guests)

So even if being a Warrior meant taking the boy scout oath or something like that, who knows who is here doing what...

I will still answer that yes I think we are honest and whether true or not I prefer to believe that most people are honest.

I too think that most people, whether here, or anywhere else, are basically good, so I think they would pass, and voted accordingly.
