Probably not what you're thinking (though I do have a new granddaughter).
I just got these today, got a deal I couldn't turn down

With an extra bass drum.

Ah - missed the reason for the drum pics on FB. I'm waiting to see a pic of you sitting at them with your sticks in hand and the rest of the band jamming on guitars.

      That will take awhile Sal.
Apparently you DO get rusty when you haven't played in 16 years.
      Who knew?
I got a really good deal on them.
      I bartered for them (naturally).
The guy wanted 350 cash, I was able to trade him for something that was worth around 250
But I'm happy and he's happy with the trade.
Heck he threw in the extra bass drum because he was so happy

I probably should of commented on them on FB instead of just posting pics and not saying anything
I wasn't planning on getting a set yet, but this was one of those deals that was just ment to be I guess.
The funny thing is my friend who set this up and was the middle man knew I had played double bass before. When he went to pick them up for me this morning, out of the blue the guy just gave him the second bass drum. He may even have the foot pedal for it, but he's not sure.
Doesn't really matter because I'll be getting a couple Ludwig Speed Kings down the road.
It will take some time and money to get them where I want them to be. But they are playable now and as rusty as I am that's all I need.

It won't be long before you pick it right back up. If that's a basement room, it will help keep the neighbors off your back as it will muffle the sound a bit. That's what one of my relatives made her son do with his set; they were the last house on the block. Luckily, they only had one neighbor to consider.

      Conrats Thom!

That set is awesome and I'm happy for you for!

      A little rusty, eh?

Well you better get to practicing, because what I want to see next is a little something like this...

Not exactly, just a little something performed by the one and only and our very own Thom!

      Rock it!

Actually Terra I never got into Niel Peart much.
My style before my hiatus was more a combination of these two guys.

April, nope I got them set up in the living room right in the front of the house

I've been playing drums in this house before any of their houses where even built.

          Thom,

Your video number one is what I'm talking about!

That's my kinda drum solo too, and the kind hubby used to play.

Sorry I was a bit lazy in posting the video I did, I just typed in drum solo and it was the first one that popped up with a whole bunch of drums and cymbals.

Anyway, I'm looking forward to your drum solo!

I need a good video camera first April.
I also need to get the right skins for my congas and better heads for these drums.
Not to mention a whole lot of practicing
