  • Yeah - I read this story today...she has quite a knack, wouldn't you say?

I can't wait to see her take on the Sistine Chapel! :p

When she gets finished, you won't be able to tell if it was painted by Michelangelo...

    or Edvard Munch
  • What a shame - one of my favorite images.

I am thinking maybe euthanasia would be appropriate.

But I am sure Jesus is loving her and is delighted with her efforts ("it's the thought that counts") - even though she thinks he looks like a muppet.

  • If Jesus gets a makeover..... She might as well fix his hair.... to make it proper for the Jewish sect He belonged to.... and she could have made Him a little less pale...

Instead, she made Him look like something finger painted by preschoolers....

  • She really made quite a mess of the icon. I saw the pics and couldn't believe my eyes. That was much more of a wreckovation than a restoration of any kind. Sad.
  • They are trying to restore it -- but from what I see, I would say another piece of valuable history down the drain. I can't believe the woman would just take it on herself to do that without even asking permission.
  • This is all I could think of the second I saw it.

  • I don't want to burst anyone's bubble here, but how do we know that she wasn't divinely inspired and that IS what Jesus looked like? Who really knows for sure? The drawings through the ages are just drawings. Maybe this poor woman is right!
