What You've Missed.. [And Puppy Pictures!]

Hey warriors,

It's been a while since I was around here much, and I've been getting a few PM's and Skype's from people asking what they've missed... Just thought I'd create a thread in the off topic forum & share what I've been up to in my life (Non-IM related)...

#1...

I graduated from school, and I'm heading to a local college to learn about Business, ethics and a couple other things starting in two weeks or so (Wish me luck please!)

#2...

I've never had a pet, but a couple months ago, we decided to adopt a puppy, and subsequently named her hope... So I now have a dog... here's a picture from when we brought her home... (she's really grown since then!)

#3...

I bought my first car... it took me 8 months to find the perfect vehicle, and I decided on a Chrysler 300... here's a pic of it with it's Dad (My Dad's truck)

...

I'm not bragging about what I've accomplished, so I hope people don't take this for that... Just wanted to give a public update on what I've been up to, for those who've been asking...

I appreciate the support this forum has given me, and it's changed my life - and certainly many others. I hope to see many of you when I'm in Orlando for the next WF Event.

I hope its ok to share this here (Moderators feel free to delete this.. felt this was the best place to post a public update to warriors)

To Your Success,

Caleb

  • Good on you, bro... you worked hard and probably put up with more crap from people over the years because of your age. Proud of you though. I hope it hasn't toughened you up too much!

I'm glad to hear that you're going to college. I'm sure it might be tempting to skip that chapter of your life but you're going to learn a lot both book-wise and socially that you might never learn otherwise.

Glad to get an email from you too!

    Stay cool....

    • Good to see you back Caleb.
Good luck in college, but your a smart kid so I don't think you need much luck
I can see why you adopted that puppy, how could you resist those eyes
You got me jealous with that car.
If that pic is from your yard I'd say you live in the country?
Nothing better then growing up country.

    • Hey Bret,

Nice to see you man... I miss the olden days with you and the caveman Maddi... that dude is the most motivational caveman I've ever met... Yes, the crap has been there forever, and I used to struggle with it... but then you taught me something... the more haters you got, the more fans you have!

Thanks. I appreciated many of yours/and others recommendations about it. It's always good to have a degree, because you never know what path I'll decide to take one day. I'm not in everything for the money, and I could decide to manage someone elses businesses for 6 figs or less, just because it's more enjoyable for me.

What's income or success when you have no time to enjoy it?

      Caleb
  • Love your puppy, and love her name :-)
    • [ 1 ] Thanks
  • That's a really cute puppy.
Glad to hear you are starting college. That's one short vacation between high school and starting semester, though. I hope you get a good vacation in before classes start. College is sooooo different from high school. I think you'll like it -- a lot. I loved my time in school. Sometimes I think about going back.

    • Caleb, you have been gone from the forums for quite a long time. It's good to hear you graduated and are on your way to college. Education is not a waste and it is important. We can make all the plans we want, yet life often has ways of changing our direction.

Make good grades all the time while you are in college!

Love your puppy, the picture is adorable. Get the pup a lot of toys to chew. Mine had to have the harder rubber ones as she destroyed quite a few during puppyhood. I hope you have a puppy house (cage) to keep her in, it was the best thing we ever got and kept her out of a lot of trouble, both with us and her chewing everything within reach would have caused her medical issues. Vet bills can be rather expensive.

    • HeySal,

Nice to hear from you. I appreciate your support... Well, technically school ended in June, I haven't done any business most of the summer, I've just been doing kayaking trips, lake trips, and taking my brother all kinds of places... Kinda just been a break from everything.
