Hey guys,

Have you ever seen Mad Men?
I have a soft spot for TV series, no idea why ...I just do.

AMC's award-winning Mad Men series really caught my attention since it first came out. And I was just curious to see if anybody else in here is watching it?

If so, did you learn something from it? Or did it just amuse you how they're all drinking and smoking all day, while bringing in 'gangsta' money?

Now that season 5 is out, can't wait to see what Don's been up to.

I really like the fact that show is very historically accurate. And you get to see how marketers and advertisers were back then.

The '60s really had a unique flavor when it came to advertising and copywriting, the lifestyle wasn't so bad either (if you know what I mean).

Cheers mates. Looking forward to your feedback!

Mad Men! This is one of my favorite active program. I don't want to preach, but it is indeed a first-class show.

I watch the show, but mostly because it's about advertising people.

The characters are hollow, shallow, shells of humans. There isn't really a person on the show that isn't broken in some way.

I know that makes for good drama, and it wouldn't be a good show otherwise...

But I turned to my wife one night while watching it and asked "Doesn't anyone just get up, go to work, do a good job, come home...and be a nice guy?"

Does everyone have to sleep around?

Again, I know it's just a show, but I can't imagine really living like that.

I think for a long time that role was Ken Cosgrove. He didn't rock the boat too much, he pretty much did his job and went home. Now there's so many characters in the show they all can't be featured so the older characters get more attention now, like Ken has in season 5.

I'm not to familiar with "& Partners" crew, but some of them just do their job and go home.

I'm a fan! Just finished season 1 and I'm looking forward to continuing the series. It seems that AMC is pretty consistently putting out programs that are a cut above the rest - I'd recommend checking out Hell on Wheels or the Walking Dead if you've haven't already
