Multi Quote Question!!

OFF TOPIC

I'm a little bit of a forum newb..cant deny it.....How do I quote different parts of the same post? I tried hitting the multi quote button..but nothing happening...

i feel dumb..but they say..the only dumb question is the one not asked

I did try to search for it..but nothing came up

After you click on the MultiQuote buttons scroll to the end of the page and click "post reply"

Right..ok cool...i was trying to break one big long post up (from same person) and reply to certain individual parts of it, as opposed to just the whole thing

I'm trying to ask here and not start practicing in a thread.. people will prob start throwing things at me

  You can break up the quote by closing the quote tag. Since I can't show you the exact tag or the forum will change it into a quote I replaced [ and ] with < and > - just remember you need to use brackets instead of these < >
  
  <quote=person>
  this is the first part of the post
  </quote> <== Use that to end the quote and say something
  
  <quote=person> <== copy the quote tag from the first quote
  You will have to copy the rest of the post here
  </quote> <== at the end this tag should already exist
