Jeaz, it feels like all the good ones are dropping like flies.

It took me a while to like this actor, but once i did, i was hooked.

its a shame, he was pretty young.

He had a heart attack.

Michael Clarke Duncan dead, 'Green Mile' actor was 54
  • That's very surprising - sorry to hear. He was a good actor, and seemed to enjoy playing against type, which for his size is not easy (like a "Ferdinand the Bull" / Gentle giant) and certainly someone who looked like he took care of himself. Myocardial infarction is something that can strike anyone, but bodybuilders seem especially susceptible...

    Oh wow. What a crime.

I absolutely loved him in 'The Green Mile' - when somebody can make me love a monster, he is quite a fine actor. Of course anybody that wasn't on his side must be daft...

    RIP Michael.

i agree he was a fine actor. HOWEVER, he was not portraying a monster in green mile
he was a mentally handicapped and convicted of a crime he did not commit.

      I'm heart stricken!

I loved him in the Green Mile and The Whole Nine Yards and more recently on the television series Finders.

Seriously a huge loss to all of his fans.

I thought I was the only one who watched The Finder! Wow, there were two of us. This blows my mind.

I'm really sad to see that MCD is gone. Rest in peace, big guy.

          I know Dan.

When I heard they were dropping The Finder due to low viewer numbers, I was shocked and devastated, but not half as devastated as I am with the news of MCD's passing.

Did you know he used to be a bodyguard for the rapper Biggie Smalls? After that mess is when he decided it was time for a career change and he then began pursuing an acting career.

          May he rest in peace.

I was going to mention another movie he was in,but then I looked at the IMDB and was amazed at how much work he had actually been in. Wow.
    RIP

Right - I know he was innocent - but his powers were freaky - and that is what I meant by monster.

I have no word dirty enough for the sleazy white guy.

(at least that I can post here).

monster is way too nice for him.

Was sad to hear of Michael Clarke Duncan's passing. Our family have been watching a series called The Finder in which he is a co-star.

I guess there will only be one series now due to his passing away.

What a surprise. It's one thing to watch all the greats get old and cross over.........but it's a real hard swallow when they are younger than yourself. He looked SOOO healthy.

I'm sure there are many films that will not be as perfect as he could have made them. Sigh. Bye Mike.
