Hey guys, you know salegurus? No? It's OK, he's not that important. But really, he is having some issues with the forum right now that I don't know the answer to, and that he can't ask in any method outside of PM. So I'm starting this thread for him, and posting the PM he sent me. If you know what's going wrong, post it up so he can see it!

#off topic forum
  • I've noticed that the forum hasn't been loading fully for the last few days. At the moment, it's barely loading at all for me in IE, and in Firefox (which I'm using for this post) it's not loading some of the images - I get the same message as salegurus in my browser bar and it looks as though it's on a continuous loop.

However, I have started a thread successfully and the search function is working (using Firefox) so maybe it's a case of experimenting with different browsers until the forum gremlins get sorted out.

  • Hi Guys/Gals

    Thanks Joe "Not that important"

I have tried different browsers and Laptops, may be a network issue?
Google'd the problem but did not find much, can't start a thread or use the search function
    pages don't finish loading.
Here is what it looks like:

    Thanks

I've noticed exactly the same (though it hasn't inconvenienced me at all or stopped me from doing anything). But every single page, apparently, never finishes loading, and on the bottom-left-hand corner of my Firefox browser it always says "Waiting for cdn.warriorforum.com...".

Sorry, I can't help at all: I'm "just saying".

      Have you tried other browsers?

    • This is what I'm getting also...
  • Some more issues: http://www.warriorforum.com/off-topi...e-loading.html

If I recall correctly, the WF was down Sunday morning - not sure what that was about.

    • That's because your head's too far up Walt Disney's Never Never Land.

(Wait, this might be the wrong thread for that comment...)
  • I use both Comodo Dragon and Chrome and have not experienced any problems, yet. I also run Windows7. Maybe "Canadians" have an unfair advantage?! :p
  • And it took me 30mins to post my previous comment. Crap, that is bad..

    • What I do is the Main WF screen is okay. When I choose a category such as Off Topic that is okay.

It is only when I choose a thread in that forum it circles for ever and has that cdn thing showing.

But I click on the X to stop that and it is what I will do to post this.

ie I will hit submit and nothing will happen but when I hit the X near the Home button on Chrome it will post it.

      Might work for you.

    • Yip, tried FF, Chrome and IE...

Funny my pages load quickly but like i said , try and start thread or use search function and only half the page loads.
The "submit" button is cut off?
I also tried resetting my router/modem and still happens?

      Thanks for all the reply's
  • It's not the browser. I got it in every one I tested for a few days. Didn't interfere with doing anything (I didn't get the long page load delays), and the "wait" loop stopped whenever I hit the X in the location bar.

It appears to have cleared up.

I believe that was a problem with the image server, but I'm not sure.

  • The only thing I've noticed is the (eek) icon displays a broken image icon. I haven't been around that much the last couple days though.
  • I'm also experiencing these issues with Firefox's latest version. This sucks. Please help!!! :-)
  • Same here for FF. Very strange.

    • Same here. Trying to post a WSO and it's been cycling for 10 minutes. This sucks. I thought the Amazon cloud was supposed to rock.
    • And I'm not with FF. Very strange indeed!

  • Hello,

does anyone still experience the loading isssue?

    Thanks!

  • Warriorforum has massive traffic that puts it under strain, I know, but do its loading problems largely stem from being on a Windows server?
