  • I noticed this too. Fortunately, I don't use them so my sites are up. Don't know
how this affects anyone else though.

    • All my sites are down to with godaddy, seems to be serious?
But they changed to php 5, maybe it's that.
  • I already stopped traffic to my domains, waiting until problem resolved. I hope there is no need to move to different nameservers and godaddy will handle it fast.
  • All my sites are down including my email service! Talk about losing business
  • Same over here... Phone's busy too... But first time in 5 years so I guess it could be worse.

EDIT: Did just find this tho: http://thenextweb.com/insider/2012/0...esponsibility/

    • This person should be given the death penalty if they ever find him.

Yeah, you never want me on a criminal jury trial.

  • Just a thought - maybe English is not their first/native language?
  • I think the problem here is that a lot of people don't realize that even though GoDaddy retracted their support for SOPA, they still supported it. At the end of the day, had it passed, the IM world, hosting etc would be very different. When GoDaddy was found to be in support of both bills, people started moving services elsewhere. When this happened, they "retracted" their "public" support. They should have never supported it in the first place.

GoDaddy is no stranger to shady practices in this industry. My opinions may sound biased since I myself, own a web hosting company. In my almost 10 years in the IT & web hosting industry, I have watched the mainstream corporate greed overcome many "used to be" decent service providers.

the same thing goes for EIG. Most people have no idea the amount of web hosts that EIG owns. When they get fed up with the crap at one host and jump to the next big unlimited web host, chances are they are also run by the same company; the customer never left. This is why they operate under 40+ brands, now including HostGator. EIG also tends to keep any media from releasing this info to the public. Here's their BBB listing, which has not been updated in some time. The Endurance International Group, Inc. Review - INTERNET SERVICES in Burlington, MA - BBB Business Review - BBB serving Eastern Massachusetts, Maine, Rhode Island and Vermont

"Anon" has definitely gone about this the wrong way I suppose, and while I agree that it ultimately affects the end user, GoDaddy will certainly suffer another loss with this most recent issue just as they did when they announced their support for SOPA.
