Lenovo Laptop Bluescreening

It wasn't so long ago I was praising my Lenovo laptop. It's always ran swifty with no problem however I'm getting a bluescreen about 30secs - 2 mins into Windows.

I've reasearched into this and people talk of and unseated HD and RAM problems.

Is this likely to be the cause?

I need some opinions before I begin to operate on it!

It's more focused on that kind of problem. I've never had a blue screen, but have had another problem that solved itself somehow.

I would go into "safe-mode first" and do an antivirus scan then try and def-rag in safe-mode as well, then if it persists, then you will probably need to get more serious with it!!!

My dell does the same, going to buy a new one, because it's too slow.

I actually think I've fixed it.

There's a little recovery button on Lenovos right next to the power button (which I've actually somehow overlooked every single time I've switched it on!) and although that didnt allow me to do anything the first 5 times I tried it, on the 6th attempt it actually led me into a recovery setup screen rather than hanging in Windows.

I'm back to a fresh install of Windows 7. By the looks of things, so far so good. I used it for about 40 mins after this with no problem.
