Raising a child is akin to knowing you're getting fired in 18 years and having to train your replacement without actively sabotaging them.

That was a test to see if anyone here has great taste in fiction. You passed the test!

I basically read Child's books in one sitting. It drives my wife nuts.

I do the same (I may be one of his only female readers!) John Sanford, Jeffrey Deaver and Thomas Perry all get the single sitting reading treatment too!

Yay for good taste in fiction!

Nope, apparently he has a huge female readership. They call themselves "Reacher Creatures."

I've read every Lucas Davenport novel Sanford's written. You're right, those are one-sitters, as well. More so the older ones. He's losing me a bit these days. I don't really care for Virgil (That F*cking) Flowers, so I haven't read any of those.

I honestly can't think of a character from a novel that I sort of resemble.

I would like to say Kay Scarpetta or Kinsey Millhone...but Stephanie Plum is probably more accurate. But that's okay, she's more fun.

Just saw the hardback on the shelf today! Gotta love Reacher.

I read a lot and characters that often react/think as I would are a mix of Scarpetta, Eve Dallas and Anne of Green Gables.

          Ha! Funny story...

Last night my daughter came over for a visit and I asked her what novel character she thought I resembled as she is just as an avid reader as I am.

My eight year old granddaughter piped up and said with a gleam in her eye, "Amelia Bedelia!"

          Hahaha!
