I Need Work- FAST!

I'm going to close out this thread if that's cool with you guys. Working on the task lists now, and won't take that long.

First thing to do is get the links on my website migrated over from my old domain. That way communication runs smoothly, and you can find what you're looking for in the members area without broken links, or incomplete information.

Dear Fellow Warriors,

Yes. I'm a strait-shooter here, and I need work. Gimme a design job, any job.

I need to raise $850 before Monday the 23rd at 4:30pm, or I'll loose my home, car (won't start), and internet connection I use as my only source of income right now. I'm not used to asking for support.

This is the only Marketing forum I'm an active member of (since 2006). To me this is like a home away from home, and I love helping people reach their dreams.

I'm one of the best in graphic design and I work fast. Other designers charge $950 + for what I'm willing to give back in exchange for any of the items below:


• Custom Minisite made to your specs (includes header, footer, ecover graphics, aweber form, whatever you need to make your site scream).

If you just want to give from your heart, thats fine too, but I'd rather work for it, or give you products. I've got exclusive design products I've made at my site. Just tell me what you want, and I'll send you the download link for helping me in this dire time of need.

    I just found the thread a couple of minutes ago, and am sorry to hear about your troubles. I hate to hear that about anyone, especially a warrior. I sent you a PM. It's not much at the moment, but it could lead to steady work each month, and also bring in other income.

    Anyway, I am quite shooked as well because the warriors usually ralley for one of their own.

    You know Grant hasn't asked for money straight up, and he doesn't need some outrages amount. He'd rather do work to get paid. Surely some of you need a graphics job done this week for one of you projects don't you?

      There is only so much rallying we can do here. Honestly, Grant's attitude in one of the posts above could be a problem as well.

      This has just been way too common of occurrences seeing these threads. Asking for help hours before the money is due isn't the smartest idea either.

  • I really don't need any design work done. Otherwise I might give it a shot.

    Also, since I've been here, I've seen a lot of threads asking for help (donations, please hire me for something cause I have an urgent problem) because of some situation or another that someone needs help in.

    There is only so much people can do. Can't help every single person who is in need of help or I'm sure several ppl would. I'd save the world if I was able to.

    Best of luck to you though. Maybe people who need designs will hire you.

    Call a housing lawyer to intervene on your behalf to keep you from being evicted and giving you some breathing room to focus and evaluate your options.

      That's something I'm not knowledgeable about, but it sounds like a possibility later.

      The biggest challenge I'm facing right now, is the time constraint-

      I live in an apartment, but it's my home, set up as an office for the most part.

      If I can make my goal, I can pay rent and they won't lock me out. The apartment office manager will also cancel my court date which is set on Tuesday morning, 9:30am.

      If I can't, I have to start packing early monday afternoon, and pay other expenses on top of what I owe the property management. I focus on that as little as possible.

      Right now, it's not an option- only a possibility that might show up

  • I'm in. Had PM exchange and figured I was going to be hiring a graphic artist VERY soon.... so why not help someone out who is in a bind at the same time. Not sure where Grant is at with the total at this point.
  • Hello Grant, I am new to this site...Just joined a couple days ago...I am sorry I cant help. I'm a mother of 3 and unable to work and I know how it is when your struggling. I really wish I had the money. I want you to know that I would help if I could. I have been learning about making money online. Been promoting a few sites. I now have this website that I can design myself throught Host Gator...AND HAVE NO CLUE WHAT TO DO WITH IT! I am still learning but when I can I am going to keep you in mind and maybe you can help me out!! Hope things are working out so far! I will keep you in my prayers.

      I need lots of work done for my upcoming product launch, but the main
      problem is, I don't know what I want for a design for this project. I don't
      even know what all the things are I need.

      I guess I need:

      graphical header for sales page
      ecovers
      cd covers
      dvd covers
      squeeze page design

      And I want everything to match...You know.

      I don't want to give any of the details here at the forum because you
      know about spies and all.

      The time it's going to take just to test some design ideas is going to take
      us way past your deadline.

      Like I said, I wish you had posted this sooner. I love to help out people
      when I can, but there just isn't enough time right now.

    Let us know how you made out. It sounds like you'll have more than half what you need, but less than the full amount. Hopefully it will be enough to buy you perhaps a time extension. And it sounds like there is additional work that you might be able to line up in the next couple days (assuming you are able to maintain reasonable internet connection).

    Steven... I think there was a mention earlier in the thread, that this originally got posted in a different section of the forum last week and then just got moved recently to the Off-Topic section... so it appeared that Grant didn't ask for help until today, but in fact he did make an effort earlier. I'm guessing based on the numbers quoted earlier that Grant still needs additional work and hopefully getting it as soon as is logistically possible, will be soon enough. I know I hope so.

    So Grant.... touch base when something has been decided as many of us will be thinking about you.

    Going to the apartment office right now to double check on this.

    We made the goal and went over for a total of $930.80

    Went up to the apartment office to double check the amount that had to be paid, plus the late fees that accumulated over time.

    That total came to $897.63 (can't remember the exact number because I wrote it down on the back of the eviction notice, and later had them shred the thing

    Things like this don't happen with just normal folk. And I don't believe they happen in normal places. People are different here. We care about each other. We do things in the best interests of other people, even when it may seem to them, were being mean.

    We're not.

    We are Marketers. Proud people who want to make a difference in this world. We, my friends, are true Warriors!

    Today, I'm blessed and forever grateful to be in such great company, and in such a great place. And I'll start putting a task list together to fulfill my promises to each of you, so I can deliver a high quality service and product.

    I'm so glad you made the deadline kid! I know people would pull thru here. They always do. It may not be in the form we want it to come in, but it comes regardless.

    Just be sure to follow thru with your list, and the tasks on it. This way you keep your rep in tacted, and keep your business up to date so you have future income.
