May those parents rot in jail for many years for what they did to that poor child.

I have to wonder why nobody seemed to question the sudden disappearance of this boy......friends, neighbors, family, the school.

I hope the young man gets the help and support he needs.

One can understand his step-father doing this but where was his mother? Very sad. No child should have to go through this. He was lucky that a kind man took notice of him. Too many kids like this get taken by child abusers and pimps.

WTF does that mean? Because he's a step-father that makes him an automatic asshole? One, at least THIS one can not understand ANYBODY doing this... Some parents should be shot and I would put this assclown at the front of the line, I'd even buy the bullet and deliver it to him myself.

      OR

Maybe lock him away for ever, I'm always for the punishment fitting the crime.

What the hell do you mean, one can understand the step-father doing this?
I don't think any sane person could understand anyone doing this to anyone else.

    Jacqueline.
I was asking myself the same question about no one noticing the boy being gone.

I also was wondering why the sisters never said anything, but it doesnt say how old they were, they may have been too scared to tell anyone....

The parents should just be put down. They are a waste of resources. I wonder how it is that a teen couldn't escape from a bedroom. Perhaps just too mentally beaten down to try?

jafambrini - I worked in a crisis center and it may surprise you to know -- but the natural father is more often an abuser than a step-father.

    Sal,
I was wondering why he wasn't able to escape also, but I'd need to see the room to make that determination.

Well unless the wife was home 24/7 - where a guy like that might keep her, too - there are hinges on doors That can be removed. I'm betting the room had no windows. You could dig holes around bars over time and escape, too.

That's why I said I'd like to see the room....I imagine if it had windows he may have had bars or something on them. But it sure seems it was a mom and step father deed, not just the step father.
I think the video said the operated their business out of the home, which would make it more difficult to escape though.

What's also puzzling at this point, is why he was held captive in the first place - there is a lot more to come for this story...
