I am submitting this by cell phone so please forgive any errors.

My brother was in an accident this morning. He was in surgery for 6 straight hours and the drs. do not know if he will make it through the night. No one knows what happened, except that a passer by saw the van overturned off the road in Verona around 8 this morning. They called it in and my brother was air lifted to the hospital in Louisville Ky. We don't know what he was doing out there or what happened. Any and all prayers are appreciated.

Sending lots of positive energy to you and your bro. Keep the visions of him in perfect health the way you want him to be. See this in your mind and believe this.

I've seen great things happen with this type of thought so please don't discount this for a second. All the best to you.

Warriors, please keep this prayer chain going!

      Dana,
My positive thoughts and prayers are with you, your family, & especially your brother. I've also asked my angels and guides to send positive loving energy to you all too. No matter what condition he is in, trust that he can hear you... share your favorite loving memories with him as well as things you look forward to sharing with him. Again, much love, prayers, and positive energy being sent.
      Namaste,

      ------------UPDATE-------------

First off, my family and I want to thank everyone for their love and support during this time. Your prayers and well wishes are greatly appreciated.

Now to let you all know what is happening.
At about midnight or 12:30 am the drs came in and told the family that my brother was brain dead and the only thing that was keeping him alive at this point was the machines. There had been serious head trauma and they could not get the brain swelling to subside.

The family had a conference and it was decided that the best thing to do would be to pull the plug. We informed the drs of our decision and once the machines were off we began taking turns going in to say our good byes. At 5:17 this morning with his wife and 3 sons present in the room, my brother passed through the veil.

Please do not mourn for us as we had him for a long time. He did in life what he wanted to do and he left this world with no regrets. He was a decorated Veteran of Vietnam, having served as a field medic over there, and when he came back to civilian life, he got married and had 3 sons, while working as a long distance truck driver. It was during this time that I helped by driving his wife to work every day and then I would return to the house to take care of the boys and also do the chores. We all shared in the love that God had given us. I can truly say that there was not a mean bone in that mans body. He lived what he believed. We will see each other again when it is my time to cross through the veil and we will rejoice together.

I don't know you, Dana, but you have my warm thoughts; sounds like you have a very loving family, and I encourage you to keep supporting each other with your shared healing journey. The thankful attitude your words convey is, I think a profoundly healing force. (I'm a truck driver too, among other things; just one more way your story touched me).

I also appreciate all the other warriors who offered support; it confirms my admiration for this community.

    Dana,

I can almost feel your brother smiling from the other side, knowing that you will be there to help guide his children, and to keep him alive in their minds with stories of him and what he meant to you.

Yes, you will see him on the other side......but do not hurry to get there....he has eternity now and will be patient.

My warmest thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. Unlike the physical body, the soul is eternal so he will always be with you. It is wonderful that you have so much to celebrate in the memories of the life he shared with you. God bless.

Again, I say thank you to all you wonderful Warriors whom I have never met and yet you share warm thoughts and warm wishes. It gives me a sense of hope...hope for this world and for us as a people. The news is filled with such negative stuff all the time that it really can pull a person down into thinking the very worst of his fellow man and then you see something like this and it shows that the candle is not out yet. There is still a little flicker of hope that humans might one day come to understand and love one another, not because of the color of their skin or because of nationality or even because of their beliefs but rather we will love one another for who we are on the inside, for our character and our heart. Now, on to the update.

      ----------------Begin Update----------------

The arrangements have been made and the visitation and burial will take place Monday. I don't know if the family is really going to do this or not, but they are talking about starting a Memorial Scholarship Fund in my brother's name. If they do decide to do that, I will post something here but it will be strictly as an FYI rather than as a request and if anyone did want to give, they could but I would not be asking directly. Again, my family and I thank you for all the warm thoughts and love.

      Dana
