Compulsory National Service for **ALL** 18-24 Year Olds!

Called the GIVE act...Generations Invigorating Volunteerism and Education Act.

Why does the term 'forced labor' come to mind? Just like I was forced to register for the military when I turned 18. No choice, register or else. (Even though the draft was almost ended by that time.) They might as well remove the word 'volunteerism' from it.

Just like the slaves volunteered to be captured, shipped across the seas and put to work to make the white plantation owner rich, many businesses and organizations in the United States will get free labor and profit off the backs of our poor.

And so it begins...

So much for jobs being created -- all the work they could create jobs from will be slave labor now. If people aren't melting down their legislators faxes, phone lines, and emails right now, they deserve slavery.

Those of you who haven't read the George Orwell book 1984 or watched the film starring John Hurt, then I suggest you do ... because that **IS** the society we live in today.

Everything from the blatent Newspeak to the phoney wars to the propaganda in films & censorship in news.

Its all corporate. The corporations have stolen the world, and to what end ... what will be next on their agenda when the entire world is enslaved, how will they get their kicks then?

All governments under control of the banks are corporations, set up to generate a profit anyway they can. Its not just the USA either. Watch this video from John Harris regarding corporations in the UK:

  Its not voluntary ... its **COMPULSORY**
  
  The only thing compulsory I can find in that bill is this:
  
  IF someone applies for and accepts a government grant (funds) - there will be a requirement for some service.
  
  I'm not supporting the bill as the community organizer/activist is not my cup of tea - but I see nothing wrong with requiring people getting grants to have to DO something in exchange.
  
  A problem I see in this economy - and our society in general - is what some people see as a logical progression...
  
  "I want....therefore I need"
  "I need....therefore I deserve"
  "I deserve....so it should be given to me"
  
  And some seem to think whatever they want should not only be given....but is OWED to them.

Just to confirm the "compulsory" statement, comes from this, as discussed on other websites:

Section 6104 entitled "Duties" under subsection B6 says they will investigate "whether a workable, fair, and reasonable mandatory service requirement for all able young people could be developed, and how such a requirement could be implemented in a manner that would strengthen the social fabric of the Nation and overcome civic challenges by bringing together people from diverse economic, ethnic, and educational backgrounds."

Section 120 entitled "Youth Engagement Zone Program" states that "service learning" will be "a mandatory part of the curriculum in all of the secondary schools served by the local educational agency."

Which means they **WILL** do it!

Oh and look at this ...

Amendment 49 on the **SAME** bill says "Amendment to prohibit organizations from attempting to influence legislation; organize or engage in protests, petitions, boycotts, or strikes; and assist, promote, or deter union organizing."

Can anyone here say GOODBYE First Amendment?!?

Why do they tag on a few extra amendments to bills? Like the bank bailout bill had serious amendment regarding healthcare reform, before it was passed...

Wow, Kay, brings the Octo-Mom to mind...

Thom, if I ran my business like the government runs theirs (spending more than they are taking in) I would've closed my doors years ago.

Amendments are tacked onto bills as a method of sneaking it past us. The bill is signed for one reason, which allows ALL of the bill, including earmarks and special interest add-ons to be signed into law, too.

They continue to do this because WE have not stood up and told them we will not put up with it...

Kay has a point regarding those on welfare, since in the UK, the next government ... which happens to be the Conservative party ... stated that benefits claimants would be forced to "work for benefits".

Political ... probably ... but I am not bashing anyone ... I am merely stating the facts backed up with mainstream evidence.

Plus with this post, a lot of Warriors have kids around the 18-24 year age group, so if they are not informed here, and don't actively review the alternative news sites, how are they going to know what's coming before it hits them?

Welfare recipients in the U.S. have had to earn at least a part of their check by working for it in a program called Workfare since before 1982. Supposedly they do some community service like sweep streets or pull weeds in parks or something. But since there is zero accountability in government, there is also no one making sure these people are doing any working, or even showing up, so they still get their checks without doing anything.

And the best way to increase those checks is to become Octo-Mom...

It is a dangerous bill to the extremes and we need to crush it. This is one of the reasons that so many states are declaring sovereignty right now. We were just told by the Bama what they want to do about corporations that have the power to topple the economy -- but they have to check and see if it's constitutional or not - then they turn around and pull this crap. It's okay - if we don't serve they just add us to the "no live" list at the social health care facilities...
