How should we know what your girlfriend likes the most? Even a kiss from you can be a great gift.

Anything that you can do or make yourself is always a winner - accompanied by something you can buy too of course.

Think of every conversation you've had with her and think of those times she mentioned things she likes or would like. If you've payed close attention to her when she talked to you; you shouldn't have a problem remembering a few things at least. Or remember what kind of things she likes doing.

If you don't recall anything, then bring her out to dinner or even cook dinner yourself. Buy her some flowers, light some candles, do the romance thing, be creative and original. Just do something nice and sweet that at least shows you remember the anniversary date. Trust me, the fact you remember is already a good start! Sometimes, women even forget though its rare so it might be a total surprise to her too and she will love you for it either way.

If you do the dinner thing, don't mention to her why you want to go out or why your cooking dinner. Say something neutral like you just feel like taking her out today. Wait until the end and then tell her and maybe give her the gift then! She again might be surprised and have forgotten, or she might have been playing along hoping and waiting that it was for that exact occasion

      Good luck!

Take her dancing. Serious. You can give her a gift either at dinner or at home, but take her dancing.

My 2 cents. And adding onto dancing idea. Couple lessons learning salsa are a great gift and its got an erotic element that could work in your favour

First off, you need to consider what the gift is saying to her.

Do you know yourself where you want the relationship to go? Do you know where she wants it to go?

Once you're sure on those things, you can begin to decide what gift would be good to express that.

Now, I don't know of a woman who doesn't like jewelry. Perhaps a necklace or bracelet or earrings would be an awesome gift to give if you're semi-serious about the relationship, not sure how it will be in the future but definitely wanting to pursue it more.

If you're sure you want it to grow more serious, then perhaps a ring. I'm not talking an engagement ring here, but you should be aware that a woman often looks at a ring as a precursor to an engagement ring, that you want the relationship to eventually go that way.

I don't think you can go wrong with jewelry as a gift because jewelry always says I love you. Just consider how deep the love you want to show goes.

By the way, Congratulations on you one year anniversary!

Translation: If you want to stay out of trouble don't skimp on the jewelry.

        I'm on to you women...:p

Edited to add: That actually just gave me a great idea for a new signature...

          LOL Joe!

I just assumed that never skimping on jewelry was completely understood.

Oh, well, I'm glad I could help.
