Strat Lovers- Meet Joe Bonamassa- Love this Guy!
He isnt as stuck on his own style as Eric Johnson, but he has some of that feel to him...also bluesy and all the other good stuff... He does some cool Jeff Beck runs too. Yes I know he plays Les Pauls sometimes too- But I like to think of him as a Strat man.
He's makin me want a rosewood fret board.
I just like his touch, not the complication of the licks. Expecially on this little bend in the middle of the lick around 2:22
Its like he bends two notes up but then doesnt come all the way down, he only drops the bend back down a half note. I think thats how he does it. My strat isnt handy or I would see.
He also does some killer volume swell stuff.
I think that little unique bend is sort of part of his signature sound. I see him do it alot.
