At this point, We are all waiting for the opening of the 2012-2013 NBA season, teams make their controversial trade with their key players and also we have a new batch of rookies who are competitive and very talented players. Now, who would be your bet to win the 2012-2013 NBA Champion?

    Miami Heat

The Lakers and Thunder are the only teams I believe are capable of beating them, but I think Dwight Howard's late start will derail the Lakers and I just saw the Heat manhandle the Thunder.

The Kings just easily beat the Lakers. DeMarcus Cousins outplayed Howard 20 pts 13 rbs to 9 pts 8 rbs. The Lakers are old and are not deep. Plus I put a curse on them last year. No more Championships for 20 years at least.

The Lakers have one of the best teams by far and I feel they will be contenders. Don't underestimate the Clippers. Check out their roster it is unbelievable to see the type of talent that they now have on their team.

The clippers have a great roster but they are so young and need more experience while Lakers they have talent, skills and experience.

Put your money on the Golden State Warriors! OK, that would be a bad bet but I do believe they will be a lot better this year.

Golden State Warriors? Oh come-on! They are good in the regular season but when they will enter in the playoffs they are just in the first round.

Yeah because they couldn't!!!!! Hence: Jason Terry and Rondo

Heat will repeat this year precisely because of the addition of Ray Allen.
Easy peasy...wake me up when the playoffs start. They'll lose some games due to boredom, but, when it is time to show up expect a repeat. Guarnnteed.

So, Do you think that the Heat can win again the crown?

I think OKC is not a contender for the crown any more because James Harden is not in the team and he will play in the Houston Rockets.

Harden lost the series against the Heat last year. He played terrible. Kevin Martin is a heck of a scorer. He'll light it up for the Thunder. The Thunder are still contenders.

Kevin Martin is a great scorer but a terrible defender.

Yes, and Hardin is a better defender. However, Sefolosha plays real good defense and Martin will be coming off the bench like Hardin was and will give the team an additional scorer when starters are resting. He'll play a different role than Hardin. Plus, the Thunder Got Jeremy Lamb who was the 12th pick in the draft and could turn out to be an excellent player.

I think OKC don't need anymore a better scorer they KD and Westbrook but in the team there should always a 6th man. I will go for Harden than Martin, they need to improve their post offense so that the defense will focus on it and the shooters have a chance to shoot.

Sure. So would I. However, they couldn't sign him because he wanted too much. So, they traded him. I'm just saying they can be a title contender without him.

How far do they drop? I think they are still solidly the 2nd best team in the west.

I think the Thunder are even more of a dream team this year, even without Harden.
They played a mediocre, but still good game against the spurs, and we saw that their new support is twice as good as it was last year.
And yes, Harden was a key asset to the team, if not for his ability then for his beard.
However, he seemed to be just a slightly less coordinated clone of Durant in terms of ability, and when he was playing in the finals he did good, but drove up our fouls almost as bad ass the Heat refs. I'm expecting them to go all the way this year, but I'm excited to see what else could happen and I'm sure it's going to be exciting
