Any idea?

Does anyone have any idea where a graphic designer could get work. Like more then just a logo here and there. Something you do all day or for hours at a time.

I've looked everywhere and it looks like if you arn't connected to the right people, you don't get work.

  • Most of what you will find online will be freelance - but I would suggest putting together a portfolio with a winning cover letter, then emailing it to every design firm you see online.

    I would say check Craigslist, If you know how to code html that's going to return a lot more jobs.

  • Everyone can graphic design these days... I believe I herd one of the least valuable degrees in university was graphic design.... Here's your sign.

    • There's probably like 4 qualities of a GOOD graphic designer.

      1. Basic understanding/library, etc.... MOST are at THIS level!(Comes with a little desire)
      2. Better understanding/tecnique, etc... I'm probably like 1/3rd at this level. Most are worse!(comes with exposure/desire)
      3. Understanding of some problems that can come up, etc... I could certainly do better. Even FEWER are at ths level.(Comes with desire/experience)
      4. TALENT. VERY few are likely here. (Comes with ability/zeal) I would LOVE to be here, but kind of gave up on that.

      Basically a school gets you to #2, and maybe helps with the ability to be at #3 or 4.

  • Create your own web site for that. DesignCrowd.COM also helpful for you. Why don't you try fiverr?
  • try to put your resume in quickr or any other classifieds
