An Unusual Request

Hi,

My son has been having trouble learning how to write in school. His name is Johnny and he is 10. In order to help him improve, we decided to create a blog for him. He has to write around 100 words for a post almost every single day. The blog is called the 'gnightgnight ' blog because he has said 'good night good night' to us every night when we have tucked him in as far back as I can remember. It can be found here:

He seems to enjoy it and drops hints of becoming a future IM'er. But sometimes he gets a little discouraged. I was wondering if people on this site might mind dropping by his blog and leaving a quick comment or word of encouragement. I think it will go a long way to helping improve the writing. Thanks for any comment you might put down or even going to his blog and checking it out.

  • Hal,

Great blog your son has going on there. I left a comment. You are a good dad.
  • I left one. Might have to check the spam folder.. I didn't see it show up... :-)
  • Make him a FB page for it...share it with YOUR friends and family, and you'll see it grow when others share it Oh, and I'm checking it out!
  • Left a comment He is doing great!!
  • Commented
  • Left him a reply on "Title" about basketball. His writing is good.
  • Awesome. Your son has written more content than 90% of the 'IM'ers on here! lol

Left a comment on the Adventure Time post

Edit: What a brilliant learning strategy.
  • Good to see a young one blogging. It's a great way to motivate them.
  • What an awesome idea left a comment, just wanted to drop a note here saying you're a great dad.

    Regards
    Dave
  • Not one person in my immediate family could write for a blog. Most of them can barely use a remote. This could be the start of something very big for young Johnny. Have a good one, Hal.

    • Hal,

The blog you started for him is wonderful on so many levels.

How fun would it be for him to see this when he's older!

Oh, I commented too, on his Your Face post.

  • I told him I crashed into a wall once doing a front hand spring. Kids love that stuff.
  • This is so adorable. I can't help it! I have to comment. Future IM'er indeed.
