He should be still kicking - I don't think he's more than a few years older than I am, if as old.

Frank, I have Kiss Me Deadly, the album,on vinyl.
I was going to work one day and Dancing With Myself came on the radio...didn't know the name of the song or the band, but I walked into work singing the refrain...and the dishwasher said something like"oh,you like Generation X huh?"
Went out and bought the album the next day.

Yep, Dancing With Myself is a great song. By the time the Kiss Me Deadly album came out, it was clear that Billy was going to split up the band and go solo. A good career move, as it turned out.

I lost count of the times I played Rebel Yell....liked his version of LA Woman and The Cradle Of Love

Also remember the time the audio failed in Oz for one of his pre game performances!

I found this on Wikipedia... "William Michael Albert Broad[1] (born 30 November 1955[1]), better known by his stage name Billy Idol"

So he is 56 years old now. He's such a young thing, but he is older than Paul Myers and Willie Crawford.

That's okay, I'm older than Gorday Jay, gjabiz.

One of my favorite Billy Idol urban legend stories is this..
Now,I'm paraphrashing and accessing a seldom used part of my internal harddrive.

Idol was in studio with Gen X, and either Zepp, the Who, the stones or one of the UK living legends were recording in the same studio, When introduced, Idol gnashed his teeth and said with the typical Idol snarl,
    "F-OFF, you bloody dinasours!"

I never really got into Billy Idol.
When ever I saw one of his videos all I could think was, "Why is this guy so pissed-off? Is he pissed off about having to sing?"
