I think mine will be "I wish I spent more time feeling about my family that I did myself". You never understand what means the most to you until you are losing (or have lost) it. Even my dogs are very precious to me.

I wish I would have written more and shared my ideas and enlightenments with more people...those are the only things that live on as Rudyard Kipling Points out in "If...".

"....if you can force your heart and nerve and sinew to serve your turn long after they are gone..."

He's talking about leaving your will operating on the earth even after your body is gone...for him it was through writing, as it will be for many of us here.

I know that long after Im gone, my writings will be in thousands of peoples homes, and my ideas will still be inspiring people.

Agreed, lets take that and run with it and give while the season of giving is still ours "...for tomorrow all that we have shall be given"

"Today I will touch my children with love, for tomorrow they will be gone and so will I"

My Grandmother taught me that the only true tragedy, since we are all only temporary visitors, is to be on your deathbed regretting the things you didn't do. When I wish something I do it. I've gotten bitch slapped silly by this planet for it sometimes - but I won't be saying "wonder what would have.........." on my way out. I never had a bucket list. I have a wish and I fulfill it. It would be awesome to find another partner in life that feels the same (I had one, but he got called out early), but that's not the same as a regret because I can't control that. If I find him, Kewl. If not - maybe on the other side. Never know what goes on across the veil.

The word incorrigible comes to mind here.

I can only think of two regrets I have.
        1. Selling my 53 Indian Chief.
        2. Selling my 69 Ludwig drum kit.
At least the kit sits in a private collectors house in his "drum museum".

I'm pretty sure my top five regrets will have something to do with hair transplant surgery, a Mustang convertable, a case of Dom, Antigua and a blonde named Candy.

I've been wrong before though .

I regret a lot of things I did in the past, but that's what the future is for For the first time in a very long time, my life is finally going the way I want it to go. Onward and upwards, every year should be a testament to some kind of improvement, or some kind of conquest in your life. The average person will always have some regrets because, by definition, they are just average

I 100% agree with that first sentence. Couldn't say it better.
Keep growing also, and there's no WAY you can regress.

Those regrets are food for thought. The whole idea is worth pondering. My biggest regrets can't be changed or undone. Now I have to think about the ones I can do something about.

As if I don't have enough to do already.

Interestingly, the one about "I wish I'd eaten more broccoli" appears not to be on his list ...
